#0426 - A Gangster Crab, Medusa Kittens, And A Possible Serial Killer - 09/18/2026

Speaker 1: Alright, computer loaded up just in time. What's up? It's the Victor Wilt Show. It is the Friday edition. I hope you're doing amazing today. I'm I mean, I'm alright. But I had a weird night. Ugh.

Not the greatest. So, you know, if you listened to the show yesterday, for whatever reason, I was very, very tired. I think the week has just been kind of mentally exhausting. So last night I'm like, all right, I'm going to bed way early. And uh I got myself in bed at about 7 o'clock and was laying there for a few.

Made the mistake of scrolling on my phone for just a few minutes. And uh, you know, that kind of woke me back up a bit. Becca comes in and I'm awake, so she's like, hey, can I uh do a little bit of reading? I want to finish this book. She's been reading Pet Cemetery by Stephen King. I'm like, all right, you know, I'll do a little reading too. That should help make me even more tired than trying to get back into reading. So picked up uh my copy of The Troop by Nick Cutter that has been sitting by my bed for I don't know, a year, and uh I've started it probably five times. Now I'm actually making progress.

I'm the furthest I've made it in it, and I think it's gonna get really insane. So she finishes Pet Cemetery. I hope she enjoyed it. You know, it's uh a legendary horror story. I think many of us like my age had the crap scared out of us when we were kids by that story. I don't know if uh me and my friends just you know watched it sneakily or if my parents for some reason allowed us to, but that movie terrified me as a kid.

Uh so we're gonna have to watch the movie now. You know, Pet Cemetery, I I hope Becca will want to read more Stephen King, because like Pet Cemetery is a really, really great horror story. Um and it's a very fun read. But I wouldn't put it in like the the top tier Stephen King.

I mean, it's great. It's a great book, but you know, it's not like The Stand, The Dark Tower, uh 112263, it. I mean, maybe even The Shining. Stephen King has so many good books. If I didn't have the endless pile of books I'd never read, I'd probably just pick up some Stephen King that I've read before and read it again. But felt good to get back into reading. So, you know, we read for a while and then we decided to watch the South Park episode that kind of spoofs Pet Cemetery. Pretty fun.

So by this point, it's what maybe 8:30. And I'm like, all right, let's turn the lights on, let's go to sleep, turn the TV off, and I could not get to sleep no matter what I did. I don't know what the deal was, but I could not get comfortable, trying every position possible. So I have no clue when I got to sleep, and then all night just wrecked with nightmares, and I kept waking up just sweating. You know, oh wondering what time it is. I'm like looking at the window.

Is there light outside? Did my alarm fail to go off? And then finally it did go off. That sucked. Yeah, because slept like crap. Didn't want to get up this morning and come to work, but had to be done. I got things to get in order for the uh the coming week.

Giveaways and things like that. Gotta get it all prepared for the live broadcast on behalf of 105 the Hawk tomorrow. Uh trying to make plans for the weekend.

Gonna be a busy day. Uh I just hope that it because I talked to Becca this morning and she had the same sleep problems. I'm like, what is going on? You know, hopefully uh it was just a weird night. Maybe it was too warm in the house.

I I don't know. But it was a miserable night of sleep. I hope you slept good.

We should have a fun day ahead. Um ask me almost anything instead of traffic school because Lieutenant Crane is on vacation. Uh yeah, you can you know just ask me whatever. Within reason, you know, don't get crazy, but we'll be doing that at 8 45. Hopefully it'll go well. I'm gonna go make a post on Facebook where people can post questions there.

And aside from that, yeah, just got a lot to get ready for the coming week so we can uh give you some opportunities to win some cool stuff. Uh gonna dig dig into the news here. Sorry, I suddenly had a sharp pain hit me.

What is wrong with me? Uh anyway, yeah, gonna dig into the news. We're gonna find something to talk about, and we're gonna crush this day down, get through it quick so we can roll into the weekend, even though it's not really my Friday. But I guess working a few hours is better than being here at 6 a.m.

tomorrow. I mean, geez, if I was going to not sleep all night, I should have at least taken a look out the window at the storm. I totally missed out. I mean, I heard the storm happening, obviously. That lightning was crushing. Uh, brutal. It was pretty awesome, but seeing all the photos popping up in the comments on the East Idaho news article about the storms last night.

People in Blackfoot with like, you know, bigger than golf ball sized hail. I hope y'all are all right. No busted windshields or busted up roofs.

I mean, I remember when we had the bad hail storm here in Idaho Falls. Uh, where I'm located at this second. Actually occurred when we were at a dead show at the gym. We had a bunch of listeners, some of you may have been there.

Bunch of listeners lined up for a meet and greet with dead. Uh, they're all outside, and all of a sudden this crazy storm hits. We had to just drag everybody in as fast as possible, and oh, my house got destroyed by that hail storm. Worked out kinda nice, cuz you know, homeowners insurance. I was able to, you know, end up doing some upgrades to the outside of my house. Was able to get a new roof and uh paint the place. I still had to pay the deductible, but much more affordable than just doing it on my own.

I mean, it was a pain, and it took uh months to get it dealt with because everybody had problems. Uh, so I hope that folks who dealt with the crazy hail are doing okay. I just wish I would have seen the lightning. Uh, people were saying it was uh so dramatic that it was like what you see in movies, just like strobe lights going off in their backyard.

And some of the photos are just amazing. So bummer that I didn't get to see that. No, instead, just toss and turn and toss and turn, finally fall asleep, sweat, nightmares, uh wake up all night, and then here I am, back at it.

Uh yeah, I missed out on the uh the fun part of the evening. Uh what is in store with the weather today? I don't know if I looked at the forecast yesterday. I don't recall seeing anything about uh rain and hail, but yeah, again, I don't remember if I actually checked it out.

Looks like today we might get some rain as well. Um, in the evening. So if you have evening plans, I I guess save them. Well, evening plans to, I guess do yard work or something.

Man, I wish I would have got my backyard mode. What do we got coming up? Saturday a.m.

showers. All right, great. Well, I'm glad my live broadcast is, I think, gonna be indoors. Uh, let's see, Sunday partly cloudy and uh fairly cool with the high of 69, so that might be a good day if we don't get pummeled with too much rain today and tomorrow to do some of the yard work I've been putting off.

You know, got it gotta get that done before all of a sudden the yard's filled up with leaves and crap, and uh, it's it's just so much more of a mess to deal with if the yard is not mowed. So not gonna happen today. Don't look like sorry, Becca. I'll I'll get around to mowing the lawn, I promise. Okay.

Well, uh I don't see anything about hail today. But again, hope you're all doing alright. Uh, very impressive photos. If you want to see some of the images people got, go check out the East Idaho news post on Facebook. Looks pretty crazy.

Looks pretty wild. Alright. Well, we're slowly making it through the morning, and uh, that that was the news I've seen so far.

Let's see what else I can find as we take a quick break. Stuart sent me something that I think we need to implement here in the U.S. It's ultimately harmless, but the public would get some joy out of it. But I think we're gonna have to pick more than one person for it. Over in Italy, every year, they nominate local politicians and public figures who committed the year's most embarrassing blunders from delaying hospital construction to messing up paperwork or complaining about pop concerts. Uh once the crowd helps choose the ultimate offender, Sunday arrives, the winner is locked inside a medieval cage, hoisted by a massive crane, and dunked straight into what's the name of the river?

Well, that doesn't really matter. Anyway, they dunk them in the river while the town cheers. They block them in a cage and dump them in a freezing river uh while the crowd cheers.

We need to implement this nationwide. Oh, it'd be a tough one, though. I mean, which local Idaho politician or public figure had the biggest blunder of the year? It's gonna be quite the battle.

Well, all I've seen for two years is people complaining about our local politicians, so I don't know who we'd pick to put in the cage. Ugh, that's pretty funny. Yeah, I guess this goes back to the 14th century when it was uh a terrifying medieval punishment. Um basically they just do it to people that uh had done something bad. Uh I don't know if it uh resulted in like death or things like that, but now they've made it fun, you know.

Now it's just theatrical. They have a mock court of fake judges and uh lawyers gathered in the public square. I have a feeling that even if we tried to make this a tradition, uh local politicians aren't gonna take part in this. A lot of them are so old that if you dumped them into a freezing river, they probably wouldn't survive.

So maybe that's why we don't do it in the U.S. So many of our politicians, yeah, they're just too old to you know deal with that kind of cold. You got a grandma, right? You ever been to grandma's house? You know how it's always like really hot in there?

Yeah, old people don't like the cold. Yeah, probably not gonna have that happen here, and again. I I'm sure that our local politicians would be like, make up some excuse, just like how all of them won't come out and do town halls, won't speak to the public, won't do any public debates, just hiding, hiding till the election. Oh, Idaho elections are so annoying. Can't wait to get through November.

At least we've got Grand Theft Auto 6 coming out in November, so no matter what happens with elections, we can look forward to that and have distractions from you know the world we're living in. Alright. Get the cage, everybody get the cage. Just noticed I had a text message from JD. He lives out in the Shelley area, and uh he got hit in the head by a piece of hail that was about the size of a golf ball or a little bit bigger.

Glad you're okay, buddy. Jeez. Ugh.

Still wish I would have seen the lightning storm. So I'm sitting here trying to catch up on my Facebook, you know, feed and such, going through my notifications and nothing more annoying than because I I can't help myself sometimes, and I will engage in a uh little bit of political uh debate in the comment sections of posts. You've probably seen it. And nothing more annoying than somebody telling me, well, if you don't like how things are here in Idaho, you can get out. And it's all generally some transplant who moved here within the last decade from somewhere like California or whatever. Like I dude, don't tell me what Idaho is. I was born and raised here, and yeah, things were very different back in the day.

They weren't like they are now, okay. Don't tell me to get out. Just because there might be some things with uh the way Idaho works that I don't, as an Idahoan, particularly like. You know, I I think Idaho's always prided itself on being a bastion of freedom, and I think that's been under attack for some time. So I like to point those things out to people. We got elections coming up, but inevitably.

Almost every time. Well, why don't you move to Oregon? I mean, Oregon's pretty nice. I like it.

But uh, I also like Idaho, all right? I just don't tend to like some of the policies around here. Because I don't like feeling like I'm uh living in the early 1900s. Alright?

It's 2026. So anyway, no, I'm not gonna get out. Why don't you get out? Alright? I knew this place before you.

I have been here for 44 years. And I mean, back in the 90s, it's like people just forget things. They're like, Idaho is this. Well, we had a Democratic governor for what, eight years in the 90s?

Yeah. Hasn't always been the ultra-red stronghold, so don't tell me that it has. I grew up here.

Ugh. Don't tell people to leave. There's nothing wrong with trying to or wanting to make a place you live better. It doesn't mean you're trying to change what Idaho is.

Uh, when I talk about like politics, some of the uh very far right people will you know get on my case like I'm some kind of extremist or something. No, I think I'm a pretty normal Idaho guy. I value freedom.

Okay? Yes, I might lean way left in general, but I'm all for guns. I uh uh I used to sell them.

I had my federal firearms license. Okay? There's a lot of things from each side I can agree with. Uh it's just some of the more extreme takeaway freedoms kind of crap that I don't like. Because that's you know what Idaho's supposed to pride itself on being a place where you know freedom is is what's uh one of the most important things about being here.

And yeah, personally, I feel like that's uh again been under attack for a while. So you get out. I ain't going anywhere.

Unless somebody wants paying lots of money. Alright. Any uh super packs out there want to donate to get Victor Wilt out of town. I see how much money you're spending. You can get me out of here at the right price.

Hehehehe. Alright. Rant over. I know sometimes people don't like it if I get up on the soapbox. I I don't think that's getting up on the soapbox. It's just trying to explain myself. Like anyway.

How about we take a break? Watch out for uh weather. I hope again, nobody was injured aside from uh well, I'm I'm sad that JD was hit by hail, but okay. He said, yeah, no blood, just annoying. So okay, good. I hope nobody else took one to the to the cranium.

It's no fun. It's gonna be fun to watch that movie with Becca. Pet Cemetery right there from Ramones. And uh, we're uh just about a week away, a little over a week away from kicking off the Halloween music on K-Bear with K-Bear's Rockin' Halloween, powered by Juicity Vapor. Gonna be awesome. I need to really get that playlist fleshed out.

I'll get on it. So, sleep token fans. I got something interesting for you. There is a new artist being teased called Arcus. ARCUS. Go to what is Arcus, ARCUS.com. You can watch this short, kind of creepy video introducing Arcus. The website says throughout the world, across generations and languages, there are events that cannot be explained, anomalies that have changed lives forever.

What some may call miracles. You may have seen them. You may have felt their touch.

You may have been guided by their hand. Most accounts are dismissed. Some are deliberately buried, fewer believed until now. Where they have acted, the assembly has gathered. We witness, we collect, and we preserve.

Once we told stories about them, now they tell stories about us. We have been chosen, but we cannot do it alone. We need witnesses. We need you. They need you. Help us decipher the messages still to come. Let them change your life as they have changed ours. Gather the fragments and become part of the story. Join the assembly, become a witness, then you sign up for the email list.

Which uh I did. Um went on Facebook and searched for Arcus, and they just launched a page today. Now Arcus is a project created by the co-creator of Sleep Token.

That's what, er, well, it says from the co-creator of Sleep Token. Definitely got uh some dark vibes in the little video here. But if you want to be one of the very first people to follow Arcus, let's see, they've got four followers right now. And I am one of them. Oh, I just refreshed and it jumped up to six. There we go. So this is a brand new act.

You want to be ahead of the game. Go look up Arcus, watch the little teaser, and I don't know. I mean, I have a feeling they're gonna tease us for a while, then we'll get some music, but what's it gonna be like? They are listed as a musician/slash band on Facebook. Uh, so I left a comment like, well, I'm sure K-Bear is gonna play it more than any other station in America, just like sleep token.

But that gets me excited. I've uh definitely enjoyed everything I've heard from members of Sleep Token. There are other bands uh floating around out there. I can't remember the name of the one that the uh bass player for sleep tokens in off the top of my head. Um, but he doesn't wear a costume or anything in that band.

Uh, also a Twitch streamer. Uh okay, sorry, I don't want to ruin the sleep token lore. But yeah, there's uh another new like uh hardcore band featuring Sleep Tokens drummer.

I need to get that on Jank Show for the weekends. Anywho, I just figured you sleep token fans want to be ahead of the game. And this project uh certainly has something to do with sleep token if it is from the co-creator of Sleep Token again, Arcus. What is Arcus A R C U S.com, or yeah, be one of the first followers on Facebook. Let's let's show them some East Idaho love A R C U S.

Again, uh, they have like six followers right now, so get on it. I'm excited to see what this is. And I'm gonna get digging up some freak news, so you just hang on, okay?

I'll be right back. Man, I thought I had annoying teachers when I was in school. This teacher, this was over in the UK, suspended 25 students in a week for things like zipping up their bags too loudly and laughing.

Yeah, I, as you could imagine, used to get into a little bit of trouble at school for talking too much in class. Yeah. Big surprise there. Um, I remember pretty much all my report cards growing up in elementary school.

That was the note on there. Talks a little bit too much in class. Well, at least they didn't kick me out of class for it. The only time I had a problem at school uh that got me in fairly serious trouble for talking too much was we were on our way to a field trip. I believe I was in third grade, I think it was third grade. So we're walking down the hallway, Lewis and Clark Elementary in Pocatello. Our class is walking to, I don't know if where we were going, I don't remember. But I remember her being excited about it.

It was gonna be a fun field trip. And uh, I was talking in the hallway, and my teacher, my third grade teacher, she couldn't be alive anymore. She was really old then, and that was you know 35, 40 years ago.

How old are you in third grade? Anyway, she was a mean lady, and uh so I'm talking as we walk down the hallway, and she just got mad. And when we got by the office, she's like, Yeah, you're not coming on the field trip, go to the office.

You're you're not going. And I got kind of mad about it. I'm like, what am I gonna do? What did I do? And so I got kicked off the field trip, and I'm in the office, and I'm frustrated. I was like, I didn't, you know, do all I did was a little bit of talking. She's just throwing a tantrum. So then I'm you know, raising a ruckus with the uh like secretary for the principal.

I'm like, this is a bunch of bull crap. I I probably didn't do that. I was probably like crying or something, being a little kid. But then they uh put me in the supply room, which was attached to the office, and I had to sit in there all day by myself. It was a bunch of bull crap, and uh my parents didn't even believe me when I got home. And I'm like, yeah, no, the principal put me in that room, left me there all day. Luckily, I think I found a book in there.

I was able to entertain myself a little bit. They also had the clocks that uh are the master clock controls for the school. I kind of monkeyed with those a bit. I think I got myself in trouble again because I think I like set off a bell. But I still didn't get uh suspended from school, so not too bad. Be careful, kids.

I guess teachers are part of the 71% of Americans that are completely exhausted, according to a new study. Um, it's good to know it's not only me. I thought it was me. That you know, I'm the only one out there feeling completely exhausted.

Like me and Jade, we complain about it often. Oh, I'm tired. Wow, I'm exhausted. All right, 71% of you out there are completely exhausted as well.

Not feeling relaxed and restful. Well, it's kind of hard to that's not really uh too surprising. I I mean, well, I I guess the number does seem pretty high. 71%. Two a little over two-thirds of the population exhausted.

That's probably pretty accurate, come to think of it. Uh, what else do we have here? A pelican in Florida was in need of help, so it knocked on NOAA's door. Okay, so biologists at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's fisheries office in Panama City said a pelican in distress appeared at their door looking for help after getting tangled up in fishing line. They heard a distinct tapping sound on the door, and they they just got this uh pelican hanging out there. So they brought the bird in, removed the hook, and freed it from the line, and they said it remained relatively patient and calm throughout the process, and once they got it all fixed up, it flew away.

Kind of weird that it knew exactly where to go to get some help. And pelicans are scary. Yeah, we were at the zoo, the Idaho Falls Zoo last week. I mean, have you seen a pelican up close? They're freaky.

They're freaky. I mean, uh every other animal, you know, the ducks and the swan. Everything in that little pond. You know, they stayed the heck away from the pelicans, and there was this one pelican just going nuts.

I don't know what it was digging for, but it it was determined to eat something at the bottom of that little pond. It was pretty frightening. Pelican looks like it could really mess you up. Okay, so well, congrats to that bird bird and good job by that team. That's pretty cool. Alright, do we have anything else for some quick freak news here?

I mean, ugh, there's so much just disgusting news floating around here. Don't want to talk about data centers. Don't want to talk about flock cameras. Don't want to talk about violence. Oh, what did I just close?

I'm just closing tabs left and right. Oh, cities with the best public transit. Yeah, that's useless. We don't have public transit around here, really.

Well, maybe Pocatello. Uh, and now somebody's gonna call me like we actually do. You're just unaware of it because you're uninformed, you're an idiot. And I'll I'll accept that. That's fine. Um, Oh! I was talking recently with uh Becca about dogs. You know, we have a dog, Millie, the crazy, crazy Millie, who woke me up a few times during the evening. But I we were talking about golden retrievers for some reason. And I mentioned that I don't really like golden retrievers. Um, and she thought that was kind of crazy because they're you know, really well-behaved dogs generally, super friendly. Uh, but everyone I've known who had a golden retriever, they were a bad dog. They were a bad dog, and they also smelled really bad.

So I I've never been a fan. Sorry, golden retriever owners. You know I'm a cat guy, all right.

Well, anyway, here's another reason not to get a golden retriever because they are too friendly. Uh, somebody was trying to break into a Southern California home. A couple that was flying home noticed the intruder on their ring camera, and then uh they see their four-year-old golden retriever, greet the guy.

Uh you know, confront yeah, happily wagging his tail with the toy in his mouth. Good boy, way to protect the house. Intruder gets in there, and the dog just makes friends with the burglar. So if you're looking for a dog to keep you safe, I I guess golden retriever is not the animal.

Um I'm looking at the uh the photos here, and it is pretty funny. The dog's holding like a ball in its mouth. Like, come on, let's play fetch. Oh I it seems like something Millie might do too. Just be friendly, or else she'd maybe even just run.

Just run and hide. I don't know. Alright, well, we're about uh 40 minutes away from Ask Me Almost Anything powered by the Advocates. I really hope y'all will take part in that today.

That would be great. I did make a post on Facebook asking for your questions. So far, the only question that's been asked is like this is ask me almost anything. That question is not for me. Asks, you know, the person you're asking about that question. So feel free to post your your questions there, or even better, call in and join me live when we kick that off in about 40 minutes. Whatever you want to ask me. It should be pretty fun. Let's talk about animals attacking people.

You know, I love it. Uh, this one didn't really get away with attacking anybody, but it tried. Uh the video, they call it shocking. A shocking video where Florida's getting out of hand.

This video, um, it made me laugh quite a bit. So you've got this guy and his dog, and there's a crab outside of this guy's house. Um, I wouldn't want a monkey with a crab to begin with. I've heard that uh, you know, if they get you with their pinchers, it it really hurts and gets, you know, inflamed and irritated. Even worse when the crab is packing a knife like a I mean, it looks like a sharp knife.

It's holding it in one of its claws, and it's the it looks like it's trying to attack the guy and his dog. The article from the New York Post is hilarious because of the headline. And I don't know if Jade's gonna yell at me for this, but I think from a national publication, I can read a headline, right?

Even if it has one word in it that's you know it's the same word as for a donkey. Come on, okay. Here's here's the headline.

It made me laugh, and I had to check it out. Blade wielding gangster ass crab tries attacking Florida man and his dog. Shocking video. I mean, if you see the video, just Google it up, crab with knife. And it seems like we've seen stories like this before.

I thought this was something old, but I had not seen this particular video. It looks like um, you know, uh the blade from a folding knife. I mean, it's a sharp looking knife, and this crab does look pretty gangster wielding this blade. And this guy, I gotta give a shout out to Florida Man because he picks the crab up by the other claw and just kind of takes it out to the yard. Why didn't he try to take the knife away?

Well, I guess, you know, even if it's a a crab trying to take a knife away from anything's probably can you imagine if you got stabbed by a crab? You're at the doctor's office. Uh, what happened? Well, I got stabbed by a crab. This looks like a knife wound. Yeah, I know.

The crab had a knife. All right, we're taking you down to get you. Yeah, you're gonna have to pee in a cup. We gotta see what's inside of your system, buddy. We ain't gonna listen to your hallucination. No, a crab with a knife stabbed me. Look, here's the video. Wow, that's a gangster crab, if I've ever seen one. After this next break, we're gonna kick off Ask Me Almost Anything powered by the Advocate's injury attorneys. It's gonna be like traffic school, but we don't got the cops here.

Just me. So you call and ask me. Whatever you'd like within reason. I I don't know what you might be curious about. You can call and pick my brain on something, have a chat about something.

Let's have some fun. Had a few questions posted online, but I'm not gonna be able to ride out the whole program with those, and I certainly prefer the live calls. So 2085351015 is gonna be the number to call for Ask Me Almost Anything Powered by the Advocates. Uh, before we take this break, wanted to let you know if you hadn't heard the A24 Crystal Lake series, which is a prequel to Friday the 13th. Looks like that's gonna be dropping on uh Peacock on October 15th. Reading a little bit up on this, I'm getting kind of excited for it. Um I guess it's A24's first real like dive into TV type stuff. Um not sure how many episodes it's gonna be.

Let's see here. Eight episodes, all about an hour long. And uh it stars Linda Cardalini, who she's been in a lot of stuff, and she's she's really good. She's gonna be playing uh Jason's mom.

Yeah, Pamela Voorhees, and then the rest of the cast, I'm not super familiar with, but uh, a lot of people I only know by face. But uh, this should be pretty cool. I mean, it's like the best time ever to be a horror fan. We've got so many great movies that have dropped in the last few years, some of the best horror movies of all time. We got horror movies, you know, winning Academy Awards, some of the biggest uh selling movies of the year, straight up old school horror. It's it's it's just great to be a horror fan right now.

Got Resident Evil out. Gonna have to go see that this weekend. Becca, I am dragging you to the movie theater. We are gonna go see Resident Evil. I've gotta see it. I love director Zach Krager, who, you know, again, I've pointed this out many times, but if you haven't seen Weapons or Barbarian, you have to watch them. Two of the best horror movies of the last decade. And Resident Evil is just getting rave reviews.

So I'm very excited to go check that out. Then we've got Crystal Lake, South Park is back. Didn't watch the new episode yet. They are now calling the show South America. And I guess uh Les Claypool made a new intro song, or maybe you just changed the lyrics to instead of going down to South Park, it's going down to South America. And kind of crazy enough, uh, country artist Brad Paisley made a song uh for South Park for South America that I guess is at the end of the new episode. Um I bet he's gonna get a bunch of backlash for that.

But uh props to him, Brad Paisley. If you had the opportunity to you know contribute to South Park, how could you pass it up? I mean, South Park could just put me in as a character and make fun of me, kill me off.

I don't know. If if I could appear as a character on South Park, that'd be amazing. It's kind of like when I saw Ian Munzik on Beavis and Butthead. And Beavis and Butthead were just, you know, making fun of them, talking about uh building giant arenas to block out the view of the mountains, you know, let's pave the wilderness. And you know, they were making fun of his voice and stuff.

Same deal with me. He was so honored to be on Beavis and Butthead. I got to talk to him about it. And uh I can't imagine. Beavis and Butthead could trash me all day, too.

I'd consider it an honor. So so much good entertainment coming our way. We got GTA 6 in a couple months.

As far as entertainment goes, I'm as happy as could be. And that book I'm reading the troop. I know they recently mentioned they're gonna be making that into a movie, which uh I've heard the book is messed up. I'm only a little ways into it.

I just got to one moment in it that was a little gross, but it wasn't too bad. So I'm anxious to finish that and then go, okay, how the heck are they gonna make this into a movie? But again, we're kicking off Ask Me Almost Anything powered by the Advocates here in about two and a half minutes or so. So get those questions ready, then call and join me at 208-535-1015 again, Lieutenant Crane out. So it's just you and me chatting.

Let's have some fun. 208-535-1015, the number to call for Ask Me Almost Anything powered by the Advocates injury attorneys. Lieutenant Crane is out on vacation today. About time that guy takes a vacation. And it's not like he's out of town working. He actually took a vacation, which I can't believe.

Because all that guy does is work. So I'm cool with it. You enjoy your time off, Lieutenant Crane. But now, we gotta do something else. So, ask me almost anything.

208-535-1015. Try to keep your questions within reason. Yeah. But let's have some fun. Let's chat. All right, I did make a post on Facebook to get this thing rolling. Got some questions posted there, but I'd prefer live callers, so please call me. All right.

Chris wants to know, what is the meaning of life? Wow. Okay. I I'm I was just asking for it this morning, huh? That's uh that falls into the category of ask me almost anything.

Uh let's see what chat GPT says. What is the meaning of life? I'll give you my thoughts in a second, but I'm just curious what the all-knowing AI has to say.

All right. Well, chat GPT says there probably isn't one universal answer, and that's part of what makes the question so interesting. Uh, they say from different perspectives, biologically, life is about surviving, reproducing, adapting, and passing information forward.

Okay. Philosophically, there may be no pre-assigned meaning. Meaning can be something humans create through their choices and relationships. Uh, psychologically, peeping off, people often find meaning through connection, love, achievement, curiosity, creativity, helping others and overcoming suffering. Spiritually, many traditions hold that life's meaning comes from a relationship with God, spiritual growth, service, or preparation for something beyond this life, and existentially, you're here, you have a finite amount of time, and you get to decide what deserves your attention while you're here. If you want the brutally simple version, all right, let's see what that is. The meaning of life is to experience it, to love and be loved, to learn something, to make something a little better than you found it, and to find enough moments that make being alive feel worthwhile. That brutally simple version, I think, is a pretty good explanation for the meaning of life. Uh, it's about experiencing it.

And um, yeah, I I really like what they said here. To love and be loved, learn things, uh, make things better than you found them, find moments that make being alive feel worthwhile. You know, uh make things better for other people. Like, I don't know what and meaning is different than like the purpose of life. I we could just really go deep down a rabbit hole on this one. Like, what is life? A lot of different philosophies coming out about existence in recent years. You know, you could have a really fun time diving down the YouTube rabbit hole about us living in a simulation. That's a fun one. So I think I'm gonna stick with that brutally simple version.

The meaning of life is to experience it. I can't think of uh anything more. All right. Thanks, Chris, for posting that kind of question. All right, 208-535-1015, the number to call for Ask Me Almost Anything powered by the advocates.

Again, I'd prefer live callers. Let's see what else we got in the questions here. Uh Chaz, as I mentioned, why don't you hit him up and ask him yourself? That's not a question for me.

All right. Amused Raccoon 79 wants to know if money wasn't an option. And maybe, okay, if money wasn't an issue, maybe is what he meant. Or she.

I don't know, it's a raccoon. If money wasn't an issue and you could relocate to anywhere in the country, either for retirement or a fresh start, where would it be and why? Alright, I'll get to that question after we take a live call here. K Bear, you are live on Ask Me Almost Anything powered by the Advocates. Who's this?

Speaker 2: Hey man, this is PD Paulo. How are you doing?

Speaker 1: Hey, I'm doing pretty good, man. What's on your mind?

Speaker 2: Hey, brother. I I guess uh I guess I must admit it, but um what happened, Peach? I haven't heard nothing with you and peaches, man.

Speaker 1: Did you say you say this is Chaz? No, this is PD Pablo. Okay, Petey. Do you have do you have him on your Facebook friends?

Speaker 2: Uh I got I have uh K bear on Facebook. Okay.

Speaker 1: Well, uh, why don't you hit him up and ask him what's going on? Uh Oh.

Speaker 2: yeah. Okay. Yeah.

Speaker 1: Okay. That's up to uh him to uh you know, l let people know. That's question for four peaches.

Speaker 2: Right on, brother. Okay. All right. You got it, man. Thanks, man. Thank you, brother. Peace. See ya. Bye.

Speaker 1: I'm guessing uh working on another manifesto. All right, 208-535-1015, the number to call for ask me almost anything powered by the advocates. All right, so back to Amused Raccoon 79's question about if money wasn't an issue and I could relocate anywhere in the country, either for retirement or a fresh start, where would it be and why? Okay, if I had all the money in the world. What are you guys trying to figure out where I'm gonna go when I win the lottery so you can track me down?

Okay, I'll I'll answer the question honestly though. If money wasn't an issue, I would want to have two different places that I would uh live. One during the winter, one during the other times of year. During the colder months, I would want to live in Sedona, Arizona. Very expensive place to live. Um so probably isn't gonna happen, but I love it there.

Um if you've ever rented an Airbnb in Sedona and you really get to feel what it's like to just be hanging out in the neighborhoods and things like that. You know, it's a dark sky city, uh, there aren't street lights. Uh it's you know, you can see the stars at night. The scenery's the most beautiful of any town I've ever been in. Uh it's a pretty hippie town.

I don't know. I I like it there. It's it's it's just great. And it's close to uh Phoenix, close to Cottonwood and Jerome. Uh the whole Verde Valley area of Arizona is a place I really like. So during the cooler months I'd like to be there. And if I could live anywhere during the uh uh warmer parts of the year, because Sedona can be pretty hot during the summer. Not like Phoenix hot, but still hot enough. Uh I'm gonna go Corvallis, Oregon.

And you might be going, what the heck is that? Uh, it's a town about the size of Idaho Falls or Pocatello, it's a college town. Um South of Portland, north of Eugene, you know, it's about an hour from the coast. Basically, if you go an hour in any direction, you get a different type of environment.

You could be at the ocean, you could be up in the mountains, uh, you could be in the big city, uh, or you could just kick back uh in the woods. And Corvallis is beautiful. Um, nice weather for the most part year-round. They might get like a tiny bit of snow, but it melts off the next day. You do deal with some doom and gloom and rain and stuff, but now we deal with that here. Gray skies all winter. I'd rather deal with rain than snow and uh freezing temperatures. So yeah, there you go.

Sedona, Arizona, Corvallis, Oregon. But I don't think that's happening on a uh a radio wage. No. All right, uh again, you folks can call me 208-535-1015, ask me almost anything. I'd love to hear from you and chat it up on air. If I run out of questions, I'll just end the bit, but let's see here. Junior wanted to know, would you rather be in the middle of the pits at a brutal show or sitting in the VIP comfy?

I at this point in my life, I'd probably go with sitting in the VIP comfy. Cause I I am old. Oh, I'm so old. Um, I've gotten in the pits at shows in the last year or so. And I think I'm just too old for that. I get knocked down.

Yeah, my balance isn't what it used to be, so I fall down and hurt myself. So, yeah, I'm gonna go with sitting in the VIP. I know it's kind of lame, but I I'd still probably get down in the pit, depending on the show. K bear, you are live on Ask Me Almost Anything powered by the Advocates. Who's this? This is JD. JD, what's up, homie?

Speaker 2: Oh, nothing. Just out, you know, trying to recover recuperate after getting banged in the head by a giant hail store. Yeah.

Speaker 1: I'm glad I'm glad uh glad you didn't get hurt badly and that there was no blood or anything, but I'm sure that was aggravating.

Speaker 2: Yes, it was quite the annoyance. that it hurt.

Speaker 1: Yeah, the the picture you sent me of that uh ball of hail, that thing was huge. I know, I know. Holy guy. cow.

Speaker 2: Harder It was harder than rocks. It was my head though, so that's all right.

Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean you're a pretty tough dude. So anyway.

Speaker 2: Anyway, my qu my my ask you anything. My question for you is do you prefer playing through a modeler or a tube amp. Ooh.

Speaker 1: That's actually a really hard question. Um, I mean, I like the combo of the two that you know, thanks to you, I've got that setup where I'm running my axe effects into a just straight up uh tube power amplifier. Um I think that uh the modern technology, the sound effects and things you can get out of a modeler, and then especially for a live setup, just being able to go direct into the PA, uh, as well as not have to lug my eight by ten amp or you know, the the that speaker that you loaned me probably weighs almost as much as my eight by ten, that thing's a beast.

Um yeah, you know, not having to lug heavy gear like we did back in the day, that's pretty nice. So I don't know. I mean, tube amps are very satisfying to play through.

Speaker 2: So they are, and I don't disagree with that at all. I mean uh that setup that you got, I played through for years and years that uh that 412 cabinet you got was custom made for me uh through my brother when he was sponsored by that company. Yeah. And uh it is a great sounding setup, don't get me wrong. But at the end of the day, when you're gigging a lot, man, it's just so much easier to have a modeler, even though you don't get the same uh in the room experience exactly as the tube amp.

Speaker 1: But uh yeah, and I I think that a lot of people get turned off by modelers because maybe they don't set them up right and you don't get that same amp feel.

Um uh unless you are running them properly into a tube amp. Um but yeah, the I don't know, man. The the feel of playing an AxeFX, uh and I'd love to try some of the newer ones um that they've got out there. Can't think of the names of some of them off the top of my head.

Speaker 2: Uh well I uh well I just got an FM9 nice uh fractal FM9 axe effects.

Speaker 1: Yeah, uh if if if I had more money, you know, I'd uh invest in what were those things called? Let's look up amp modelers here. Uh quad cortex. Quad cortex, yeah, dude. Those um people are just raving about, so I'd love to try one of those out. Uh there's just so much cool new guitar gear out that doesn't require uh you know much crap you gotta carry around. It's really crazy how good this stuff has gotten to be.

Speaker 2: I agree. I agree. So you know, uh but you know, it's like uh with any tube amp, you gotta find the sweet spot. You know, with any marshall, you gotta find the sweet spot, and then half the time you're putting a bunch of pedals in front of it to get that sweet spot. So, you know, uh with any model or any of the modelers, no matter uh quad cortex, line six, tonex, fractal, blah, blah, blah, unless you're willing to dive into the hidden menus and or put it on an editor, you know, they're not satisfying until you really start to tweak on them and and find out what you want to use, you know, what you want to feel and sound like. Oh, yeah, nice.

Speaker 1: That's the main if I have any issue with the axe effects, it's that tinkering because you know, rather than just sit down and play, the options are so endless. You can end up just sitting there going through, changing things, trying a million sounds, and you don't actually end up just spending a lot of time playing because you're tinkering.

Speaker 2: Yep. Oh, yeah, yeah. Big rabbit holes. All of them have a big rabbit hole that you can follow, you know. Oh, yeah. But that also at the same time, that's the trick to making them feel and work the way you need them to.

Speaker 1: Well, one of these days I'd sure love to uh play my guitar live through um, you know, a PA setup and have of course you run the sound for us, but I don't know, my uh our drummer, I'm I don't know if he likes me anymore. He doesn't he hasn't been responding to that.

Speaker 3: I don't know.

Speaker 2: Well, Joey though, Joey the Hulk still likes you, done it.

Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, yeah. But uh I don't know. And you know, our drummer's kind of a quiet guy. Maybe I did something to make him mad. I I don't know, but uh I hit them both up recently, and I can't get a response out of one of them. So yeah, who knows?

Speaker 2: You didn't express a p political opinion to him, did you?

Speaker 1: Oh, he agrees with me on political stuff for sure. Most of my most of my friends uh lean the same way as me, and they were all born and raised here, okay. Yeah.

Speaker 2: And I and I prefer to remain ambiguous.

Speaker 1: Yeah, well, like I talked about earlier. You don't have to pick one side. You you can go issue by issue, you know. I lumping yourself in with one team, that that just seems a little bit weird to me. Uh, you know, that there's so many different issues facing the world. You can't let one side just you know make up how your brain works and how you feel about every single issue.

Speaker 2: So I I agree. I agree. Yeah. I agree. Anyway, well, uh thanks for your response on uh the you know tube amp versus the modeler as far as uh playing your guitar, man. I know, dude.

Speaker 1: I I want to try out that uh new amp that I bought at the garage sale, but I think I gotta drop like three hundred bucks in tubes for the thing. That little fender. Yeah, uh let me think.

Speaker 2: Uh send me a picture of uh is it still got the tube picture on the back of it?

Speaker 1: Um I'm not sure, but I did find the tube diagram online. Uh boy, what boy, what a snag that was. Yeah.

Speaker 2: Shoot me a picture of that and I'll see what I got laying around.

Speaker 1: All right, cool. Yeah, I was I was surprised that an amp that size required so many tubes. It was um almost as bad as my gigantic uh you know 300 watt fender baseman.

Speaker 2: Those are those are neat little amps. Uh you will find that you have to put uh put something in front of it to get it to sound the way you want it, because I know how you like your uh big chewy heavy low drop, you know, stream tone, you know.

Speaker 1: Yeah, and I mean that amp was probably made in what this what was it the late 50s or 60s? Oh no, no, no, that's the 70s. Is it 70s? Yeah. I yeah, I'd have to uh have it in front of me and Google it up again.

But uh excited to check that one out. Just don't have the money to to buy the tubes. No, no extra expenses in this uh this booming economy, not for Victor. Yeah.

Speaker 2: Probably ought to put probably have you plugged it and turned it on?

Speaker 1: Uh I I have not because I know it doesn't have a fuse in it. I need to get a fuse cap. Um there is probably there is no fusing it. Fuse caps easy to find online though.

Speaker 2: Probably ought to put it on a very active turn it on and slowly raise the voltage and make sure that nothing fries if it's been sitting for a long time.

Speaker 1: Okay, well, I guess I know a guy who could probably make me feel safe about uh helping me do that. Uh it's one of those things where I probably won't tinker with it by myself. I might be calling a guy named JD. Okay, great.

Speaker 2: Yeah, you call that guy. Make sure he hasn't gotten hit in the head with a hailstone lately. Yeah.

Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2: All right, I'll I'll I'll quit hogging everybody else's sign, man.

Speaker 1: Thank you. Hey, thanks, JD. Good to hear from you, man. Hope you have a good day. Yeah, peace, man. Peace. All right. Uh again, 208-535-1015 for asking me almost anything powered by the advocates. All right, let's see if we have any other online questions.

I already said I'd sit in the VIP area because I'm old and VIP generally can be pretty comfy. Let's see here. If you were Medusa and you had to choose what animal to have for hair other than snakes, what would you choose?

Or beard hair. Okay, Lexi, that's an interesting question. I want kittens popping out of my head. I don't like snakes.

Yeah. It sounds like it'd be horrible to have snakes for hair. Little kittens. I mean, that if you had like 20 kittens popping out of your head, just that would probably be pretty frightening too. Um but I don't know.

I like little kittens. So um, yeah. That obviously it's gonna be the cat route. But what else would be good? Um, I can't think of anything. What?

Like ugh. yeah, I don't know. I mean, you it would have to have fur, right?

You don't want like scales sticking out of your head. Uh let me refresh this, see if we've had any other questions. 2085351015, the number to call for ask me almost anything powered by the advocates. I hate how Facebook, you have to go in and change things to show all comments. They decide what's relevant. It's like just show me all the comments. Why does Facebook have to suck so bad?

Why can't they get it together? All right. No new questions there. So y'all better start calling me or we're just gonna be done.

208535 1015 for Ask Me Almost Anything Powered by the Advocates. Um see if we have any other questions popping up anywhere else. Did we have any traffic school questions from throughout the week? Because sometimes I can answer those. Nope. All right.

Well, well, y'all. I'm gonna give you about 30 more seconds of me yapping, and then we'll just go to break and we'll continue on with the show. I'd love to chat with you, though. I think it's fun to have a conversation with you listeners. So 208-535-1015. Last call for Ask Me Almost Anything powered by the advocates.

Guess I'll refresh this one more time. And then we'll just go to break. Okay. Yep. Uh no new questions. All right, all. That's it.

That's it. Lieutenant Crane should be back next week for traffic school powered by the advocates. And I'll find some more stupid news. Oh, okay. We have a last minute caller. K-Bear. It's Ask Me Almost Anything Powered by the Advocates. Who's this?

Speaker 3: Your friend Tractor Jeremy.

Speaker 1: Tractor Jeremy, what's on your mind?

Speaker 3: I'm sure it's a question Carl's asked you in the past, but I'll see and hear it for myself. You could own any kind of hot rod or fancy car. What would it be?

Speaker 1: You know, I don't know cars enough to where I could make a specific decision on that. Um, because I can't even afford to buy a car that just gets good gas mileage.

I certainly don't take a lot of look at uh you know muscle cars or sports cars. I don't know. Ben from the Advocates, he'd had a couple pretty cool ones. Uh you know, over the years. He had this uh this Mustang that you know, a newer one that was just sweet.

He had an awesome Corvette too. I I don't know, Jeremy. I I don't know. I'd have to get out and just try a bunch of them because I I'm just not much of a car guy because I'm too broke. Well, maybe make it to one of the shows. Hey, it kind of browse around. Yeah, I have seen some pretty cool cars out at the car shows. So yeah, maybe maybe I'll get out of here.

Speaker 3: Me and Carl would love it if you'd ever show up on a Sunday and come visit us when you're in town.

Speaker 1: I know. I need to get down to pokey more often. It's been a bit, but I'll I'll try to make it soon, man. All right.

Speaker 3: All right, thanks, Jeremy. A few minutes of time for you. All right. Hey, thanks, dude. Peace. Have a good one.

Speaker 1: K-Bear, you're live on Ask Me Almost Anything, powered by the Advocates. Who's this? Uh Becca. Becca. Oh boy. What question would you like to ask me, Becca? Okay.

Speaker 4: So would you rather eat a pig's eyeball or Rocky Mountain Oysters?

Speaker 1: They generally cook Rocky Mountain Oysters, right?

Speaker 4: Yeah, but I mean, even if a pig's eyeballs cooked, so either are they both disgusting. Um You got to choose one.

Speaker 1: let me look up a picture of what Rocky Mountain oysters look like. Okay, let's look at some images here. Okay, raw. I'm completely disgusted. Uh now there's some that they show that are breaded and deep fried. They don't look too too terrible.

I hey Jade, have fun going through the IT stuff today, buddy, with all those pictures. Uh now let's look at uh cooked. You was it a pig or a cow eye? Peg eyeballs. Cooked pig eye. Whoa, that's kind of weird. It That almost looks like just a fried egg. Okay, now, but there's other images that look pretty disgusting too. I I think I'm gonna have to go Rocky Mountain Oysters. Okay.

Speaker 4: All right, All right. Sounds good.

Speaker 1: Oh, man.

Speaker 4: The things Well, I guess that's I guess that's what you're having for dinner.

Speaker 1: No. Absolutely not. What? Is that what you want for dinner?

Speaker 4: No, let's see what you want. I'm gonna go to the store right now. I'll find one.

Speaker 1: I guess there's gotta be a store around here that does sell them. Yeah.

Speaker 4: I'll go find some. That's that's what you're gonna have. for dinner.

Speaker 1: Okay, bye. Bye. I I can't believe that people eat Rocky Mountain Oysters. Don't we have a Rocky Mountain Oysters like festival around here? Let me look this up here. Rocky Mountain Oyster Festival. I want to say it's in like Butte or something.

Let's see. No, uh, Virginia City, Nevada. Is that the one? The 35th annual Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry.

Virginia City, Nevada. When when does this happen? I mean, it's not like I'm gonna go to it, but oh, they do it um on St. Patrick's Day, so it'd be coming up uh next year. Um if you want to travel down to Virginia City, Nevada and take part in the I guess it'll be the 36th annual Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry.

Wear all your green clothes and uh just mow them down. If you don't know what Rocky Mountain oysters are, you can go ahead and Google it. Okay.

Uh it's a part of an animal that uh it it's not gonna sound very appetizing if you don't know what it is. All right. We'll go ahead and end this program.

Not the whole show, but yeah, the the Ask Me Almost Anything segment. We'll be back. Well, hi, Jade. Hi. Welcome to the program. on the Victor Wilt Show. That's right. Fresh from the press.

Speaker 2: Oh, well, maybe we'll just wash everything away.

Speaker 1: We did get apparently a nice cleansing last night. I had no idea that the storm was that crazy. I'm just laying in bed, tossing and turning, trying to get to sleep. You know, some great thunder, but I got the I talked about my blackout curtains yesterday on the show. And I don't know what's going on outside.

Speaker 2: I sleep with uh airplugs in and uh an IMAS. Uh if I was in bed, I wouldn't have noticed anything. Ah. But I hadn't made it there yet by the time the mayhem started.

Speaker 1: I wish I would have seen it. I mean, some of the videos and photos I've seen, it looked insane. It was pretty impressive. You know, I showed you the picture of the piece of hail uh that hit JD in the head. It was pretty large. He's got a strong cranium. Hopefully it made an improvement.

Knocked some sense into that fool. Yeah, I don't know if we had hail at my house or not. Um I did check with Becca because you scared me for a minute. You're like, did your basement flood?

I'm like, oh no! Uh I think I did enough work on it probably last year, uh, out in the intense rain to because I did have some flooding happening, and I I managed to find some window covers that seem to work pretty good. Uh, but I'm still you know how much I hate spills and floods, and uh you you about made me freak out for a second, but she says we're all good.

Speaker 2: Well, you can watch it again tonight because another flash flood warning for pretty much the entire upper snake of her plane.

Speaker 1: Yeah, especially if you're out in that uh Heisy area where they had the fire. Uh, we were reading about the flash flood warning. Um it it could be pretty nasty out there pretty much all day today, they're saying uh flash flood warning on the upper snake river plain till 10 p.m. tonight. Fantastic. Well, at least I know I don't have to do any artwork today.

Speaker 2: Is there a five-finger death punch song, Wash It All Away?

Speaker 1: There is Alright, I think we need a play. I I was gonna play Mastodon Snakes for Dinner.

Speaker 2: Hey, that works too. Let's do both.

Speaker 1: If the groceries keep getting more expensive, I might be, you know, hanging out out at the transmitter to find meals for Becca and they've been hiding.

Speaker 2: I've been looking since that day.

Speaker 1: Because rattlesnakes are not too bad. I've eaten it before.

Speaker 2: I've never tried it. I wanted to, but then they were like, nope. I'm not on your meal ticket today.

Speaker 1: Yeah, I had some in Arizona. It was like, you know, breaded and chopped into little pieces and it was good.

Speaker 2: Almost bony. No, no. They deboned it. They I yeah.

Speaker 1: I don't know if I'd want to eat bones. Not a not a vulture. Are you sure about that? Oh my gosh. Uh speaking of dead stuff. Your soul. Did did Josh talk to you at all about this crazy story out of uh Philadelphia? The serial killer in Philadelphia. Do you see that in the news? No. It's popped up just within the last few days.

Speaker 2: Maybe is that the where they're thinking a bunch of women or something. Yeah. Went into this house and never came up after a band in SUV. Yeah.

Speaker 1: It's a wild story. Um I only skimmed over it. Yeah, East Idaho News posted about it uh yesterday. I guess this has been an investigation going on for months. They've been like digging through this house uh where this father and son lived. They busted the son uh because he was parked illegally, like in uh a spot reserved for law enforcement.

All right, maybe that's what it was. And so they, you know, search his car, and he's got a whole bunch of guns and drugs, had uh fake IDs saying he was like a DEA agent, uh, had some woman's ID in there. So they take him to jail, and because they found this woman's fake ID, it had like a fake picture, but the real name of a woman who had been missing.

Huh. And so they decide to go search this guy's house, and I mean, this is a developing story, but this could end up being one of the like biggest serial killers of all time.

Speaker 2: Well, thanks for the uplifting news on a Friday morning.

Speaker 1: Yeah, no, dude, I haven't even gotten into it in the in the guy's basement. They found that they just keep going. Yeah, dude, dude, this story's crazy. In the in the basement of the house, they found like a you know, a big uh barrel that had pipes coming out of it that were affixed to the sub uh what do they call it, the sub pump in the Yeah, the sub pump, yeah. The sun pump in the basement of the house. So the both the father and son had either spoken to friends or had written down like these are the type of things that you need to fully dissolve a human body to the point you could flush it down a toilet. So it looks like they were uh dissolving bodies, putting them in this barrel and dumping them through the sump pump in the basement, and who knows how many, because they they've got all these videos.

They found a million digital documents in this guy's house. Uh, very I'm not gonna get into the contents of some of the things they've described in these photos and videos. Uh, but very, very bad. Very Dahmer-esque. Uh, yeah. Like uh, you know, like they were filming. Uh lots of different things.

Speaker 2: Like I said before, thanks for the uplifting story on Friday.

Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. And then see, what listeners don't understand, like

Speaker 2: when I sometimes I when I sometimes lose my mind is part of my job is looking through like all of the news out there. So I get just pummeled every morning with horrifying, just terrible things. Like I'm just opening rangers. A weird news person. Those guys there's something weird wrong almost with news people.

Speaker 1: Okay. You remember the mystery of the black sludge? Yeah. Oh. Okay. Okay. Good lord. The mystery of the black sludge. I think that could be somebody just slowly just slowly disposing of a body. And what weirdos might do that kind of thing. Hmm. Media people.

That's right. News people. What you up to, Nate Eaton? Yeah. Be careful. Hey, hey.

Careful. Did everybody, you know, if you like, I watch a lot of true crime, Jade. And, you know, if you do you watch much true crime? It seems like you're too queasy for that.

Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't do true crime. My wife does, though.

Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. So, like, you know, if you watched a lot of those documentaries and things, people be like, I never would have guessed. You know, one of the nicest people I ever met, John Wayne Gacy come do the children's parties dressed as a clown.

Speaker 2: Good thing I've never heard that about you.

Speaker 1: Yeah, no, no. Victor Wilt Nicest person ever. No, it's it's the ones that you never expect. The weirdos are just weirdos. They're pretty obvious. It's those, you know, real clean-cut people that you gotta worry about. The mystery of the black sludge.

Anyway, uh, yeah, look into that on uh YouTube. It's a wild story. It's so gross that I can't talk about most of it on air. Uh, it's really sad too. Um, but I I don't know. I'm sure we're gonna this will be the next big explan Nate Eaton's probably flying over to Philadelphia as we speak, you know.

Speaker 2: Well, if anybody could get uh some some stuff out of him, it'd be Nate. And he has that ability to just keep prying and prying until he gets it. Well, he don't care.

Speaker 1: Hey, Daybells, let me go find you on the beach. What's up? Yeah, talk a nasty of that guy. And nobody yelled at Nate Eaton for um ambushing the Daybells on the beach. Have you seen the videos going around where uh Jim Rish and Todd Achilles, two people who are running for Senate, encounter each other in the airport? Uh, I haven't seen that. Okay, there was some type of a 9-11 memorial thing going down in Boise. So, like every politician shows up to this event, right? And you know how Idaho politicians are, they don't want to like come out in public, talk to the community, they don't want to have public debates, they just kind of hide behind their political party.

Speaker 2: Why would they want people to know what's going on? Yeah.

Speaker 1: So this guy Todd Achilles, he walks up and he basically does a Nate Eaton, and he like shakes Jim Rish's hand and is like, hey, we should have a debate. And Jim Rish kind of runs away. And he likes to call security and this makes it into this big deal, like, oh, this guy came out of nowhere and just ambushed me.

I'm like, no, what Nate Eaton did to the Dave Hells was much more of an ambush. They're on their, you know, nasty honeymoon on the speech, man. Where's the kids?

Speaker 2: It's like that uh family guy episode when Stewie's trying to get money from uh the dog. Brian. Where's my money, man?

Speaker 1: Where's my money, man?

Speaker 2: Where's my money, man?

Speaker 1: Yeah, I was talking with Jade about how I get pummeled by horrific news every single day. Now it's just part of my job reading through so many different news sources on so many different stories, and I just see the worst of the worst every single morning. And that's why sometimes I get kind of crazy. Like, for example, I'm just popping up tabs here, trying to find things to talk about.

And I'd say 99% of the stories that uh come up from the weird news sites are things like this. They're just unpleasant. How are rising prices affecting you? NPR wants to know. And then they got this big survey, and it's like, what has gotten more expensive for you?

What hasn't? So I you know, I have to close that out. It's like I don't want to think about money. Who wants to think about that right now? And we got uh, you know, serial killers, got all this political stuff. I mean, there's just so much gross stuff in the news. You guys are I get frustrated when people don't know what's going on in the world because I'll talk with people and uh you know, engage in comment sections on Facebook, and it's like, well, did you not read about this? And I gotta realize that most people don't actually read lots of news like I do. It's it's kind of sad because I think that if people took a look at a variety of news sources, they'd be much better informed. I like to see all the different perspectives because as I've talked about many times, most news nowadays is just entertainment. Like if you're watching any of the 24 hour uh cable news networks, they all have an agenda and an angle. And you know, they don't just give you the news, they gotta give it to you in a way that feeds their audience with you know the the feels they want on the inside, gives them the angle that makes them go, yeah, I'm right about everything. Uh it's just why I get crazy because I I don't think a lot of people are actually being informed. And the the critiques that news in general takes, I think for the most part are fairly accurate.

You know, East Idaho News, that's one of the only sites I see that just posts the news. They don't give you their opinion. They don't uh give an angle, and they get accused of having a slant all the time just because they report the news as basically as possible. It's like old school news, it's good stuff. You know, you don't got Nate Eaton ranting and raving at the camera.

No, they just give you the story. But anyway, on a week where uh 71% of Americans are feeling completely mentally exhausted. Boy, I can tell you I am as well. Just from reading flute through the news.

Oh, look at this. Uh I would assume all parents know by now, and Becca actually mentioned or messaged me about this. East Idaho News just posted that Linden Park Elementary in Idaho Falls is closed today. Cancelled classes due to flooding. I I hope that none of you dealt with any flooding last night. I hope that uh you know, none of you experienced hail problems like JD and were cracked in the head with a uh giant ball of hail. Beware today, again, flash flood warnings. Good day to hunker down, I guess.

Even though that's not really my plans for the day. Uh Beck and I are gonna attend that rock orchestra thing at what is it, the Frontier Center now? It used to be the Civic Auditorium.

Haven't been in there since they revamped the place, so that should be cool to check out. And then hopefully go see Resident Evil tomorrow. I don't know, gonna try to make the the most of a weekend. But also, don't forget, tomorrow, busy busy. Tomorrow I'm gonna be broadcasting live from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

on behalf of 105 the Hawk. I'm gonna be hanging out at the Melaluca Event Center. Now, this is out at the Bonneville County Fairgrounds, okay? If you want to come see me, 11 to 1, don't drive out to the Melaleuca headquarters near Shelly.

That's not the place. Google Melaleuca Event Center, and it's at the Bonneville County Fairgrounds. I'm gonna be hanging out with Bullfrog spas. They got a bunch of sweet deals and new products, and I'm gonna be signing people up for Garth Brooks tickets.

Again, I'm broadcasting on behalf of 105 the Hawk. And I've got a huge pile of crazy figure eight race tickets. First come, first serve.

I'll just give you those. Stop by and see me 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow with Bullfrog Spaws at the Melaluca Event Center.

And I'm gonna probably be hanging out here working in studio for a while. Maybe I'll give away some more uh Yellow Wolf tickets. I gotta get those sent out.

I gotta get another promotion ready for Monday. That I guess I'll tell you about it next time I jump on air, which is going to be close to 10 o'clock. Okay. You guys are gonna like this one, I think.

All right, everybody. I want to let you know about a promo that's kicking off Monday. Earlier this week, we did the big Metallica Coming to Salt Lake City announcement. Gave away a pair of tickets that day and a St.

Anger vinyl. Well, next week we are continuing on with giving you opportunities to win tickets to see Metallica in Salt Lake, but it's gonna be slightly different. What we're doing starting Monday is each morning at 7.05 a.m. I'm going to announce a Metallica album of the day as well as a song from that album that you need to listen for that day.

Kind of like we did earlier this week. But I'm I'm not gonna take 72 calls. Because basically the way this is gonna work is if you're the correct caller, which is probably gonna be caller number 20. We'll just set that right now. Sorry, I'm in the middle of uh putting all this together, the recorded version of the promo. At 7.05, I'll announce the album of the day and the song of the day. We're giving away that vinyl that day.

If you hear the song played, be caller number 20. You win the vinyl and you go into a drawing for Metallica tickets. So we're gonna be giving away basically every metallic album over the next couple weeks, and then at the end of that, uh somebody's gonna win some tickets to the show. So make sure to tune in starting Monday at 7.05 each morning for the song of the day and the vinyl that we're giving away so you can uh win some metallic vinyl. Yeah, yeah.

And hopefully win yourself some tickets. Ooh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So there you go.

That's what's happening starting Monday. And now I gotta talk to Jade about more giveaways that we gotta work on. All right. Well, thank you again for tuning in to the Victor Wilch Show. This program's a production of River Bend Media Group. To contact the show or for more information, hit us up at Riverbend Media Group.com.
