#0348 - How I Almost Broke My Back While Naked - 04/22/2026
Speaker 1: Howdy all what is up? It's the Viktor Wilt Show. Today Wednesday? Alright, just a few more to go. Oh, I'm such an idiot. I was just hanging out in the hot tub last night.
A nice relaxing chill time. And then somehow I slipped when I stood up and I just cracked my back right on one of the seats. Oh, it hurts. It sucks. Like if you suddenly hear me go like, ah! I'm sorry.
If I take like too deep of a breath or move wrong, it's very painful. So yeah, that was my evening. I didn't tend it on, you know, doing some chores and stuff and that did not happen. Oh well, get some things done today.
Just hopefully don't need to bend down to do anything. Geez. Anyhow, that's where I'm at this morning. I need to chug some coffee.
Maybe need to find some content and probably take some ibuprofen. Yeah. So there we go. We'll get rolling. I'll quit whining. But be careful people.
You never know when you're going to unexpectedly screw yourself up. Go figure when I have way too much to do around here. Oh well. Alright, done complaining. Well I know I complain from time to time about, you know, the price of things. You know, around here it's gotten to be a lot more expensive to live. At least it's not as bad as places like San Francisco. I'm looking at an article here about brownstone shared housing where for $700 a month you can rent a bunk bed in a room with 30 other people. That sounds terrible to me.
Alright. You ever had roommates? It's hard to find people you can tolerate living with. You know, be around them day in and day out.
You can end up just getting crazy even when it comes to really good friends. The odds of a bad roommate certainly increase when you're looking at living with 30 other people in a room. Yeah, you don't even get your own room. You just have a bunk bed with a curtain around it. They call them like sleeping pods.
And I guess in places like San Francisco where it's very expensive to live, this is becoming a very common thing. So yeah, it's a twin-sized sleeping pod. So a twin-sized bed. It's got a curtain. I guess some kind of a heater or something. But yeah, then you get to share a little kitchen and a bathroom. I hope they have multiple bathrooms if we're talking about 30 people.
Alright. The only thing else I have to say about this story is I wish it wasn't an article about beds, tired, slept like crap, backs all messed up. I'm just a disaster today. Ugh. But it could be worse. Alright, it could be worse.
So I'll shut up and stop complaining. Well, we've had a lot of stories recently where animals seem to be fighting back against human beings. You know, I'm a fan of these stories.
Now they're teaming up. Yeah, we're going to get some wild Yellowstone stories soon. I mean, it happens every year. We'll have some people mowed down by bison or elk. But it seems like the wolves are teaming up with the bears. I'm looking at a video here of a wolf dislodging and carrying off a sign warning people about grizzly bears in the area. Yeah, I guess they put the sign up to warn visitors to stay out of this area due to an active carcass with grizzly bears feeding on it. Well, the sign ain't up no more. And this was a little wolf, too.
Look like a, I don't know, it's not a baby, but it just grabs a sign and runs off. So, yeah, if you're headed to Yellowstone, just be aware that there are grizzly bears there, even if you don't see any signs. Saw a video of somebody in Yellowstone, I think just yesterday, filming a grizzly on the side of the road.
And if you've ever been to Yellowstone and seen a grizzly feeding on, you know, like a deer, it's terrifying. The sheer power. I was like so far away. So far away and it was still terrifying.
And I was right next to my vehicle could just jump in, you know. Oh, bears, man. Crazy. When you see it in real life, it's a lot different than watching a documentary. Anyway, you should go to Yellowstone.
It's awesome. But yeah, keep an eye out for the grizzlies. And also wolves.
Yeah, I would imagine wolves could be pretty terrifying as well. I will be back with some freak news in just a minute. You just hang on. Right.
Cool. Got another story about animals fighting back against people. All right, this time it's a cute little kitty. Well, it's a bobcat. And this guy's out turkey hunting. Well, is he a teenager?
Yeah, he looked pretty young in the video. Carson Bender out hunting turkeys in Wisconsin. And he's just kind of sitting on the ground by this tree. Out of nowhere comes this bobcat and it's just creeping up on him. So he busts out the camera. You know, it doesn't look very frightening at first.
Tell it all of a sudden just jumps on his arm and digs in. He's fine. No, he's fine. But. Oh, you know, just because they look cute doesn't mean they can't really messy up. Bobcats are crazy. They're like, hang out on top of a cactus. They're not to be messed with.
Even though they're not big, they can mess you up really good. Watch that video online of a regular cat attacking a police officer at an animal adoption event. Yeah, it's an old classic video. And that's just a regular old cat.
Bobcat whole next level. All right, what else do we have here? What happened here? There there we go. Um, don't drink and drive. It's bad.
OK. And you're not going to get away with the excuse. I need the booze to stay awake. Um, try some coffee. You know, that can do the trick. I mean, I'm tired today, slept like crap, messed up my back.
You know, last night, because I'm an idiot, apparently don't know how to climb out of the hot tub without slipping and falling and just cracking my back on the seat. Uh, what was I talking about here? I totally lost my train of focus. Oh, yeah, tired. Yeah, we were talking about being tired. Yeah, caffeine, energy, energy drinks, you know, you got that route.
Not like whiskey. OK. Now, I don't know how loaded this guy was. The article just says he told the cops I need the booze to stay awake.
And then they took him to jail. But, uh, yeah, it's not going to work for you. OK. OK. Not going to make you more alert. Perhaps the opposite. Yeah. OK, let's see.
We already talked about that. Oh, it's National Library Week. So I wanted to encourage you to visit the library. Went to the Idaho Falls Library for the first time and had to be a few years over the weekend and checked out the book sale they have in the basement there. Picked up a bunch of books. It was awesome. And I finally got to check out the adults only section of the library.
I'd been very curious about this. Um, it's basically the entire library. Yeah, you've got the like children's books on the main floor, but the second floor of the library, like the entire nonfiction section of the library, all the young adult books, all the general fiction, everything you have to show an ID showing your or at least 18 years of age, or you got to have a parent with you and get parental approval to see like it, the whole library. You know, and I talked to one of the librarians about it and they're like, yeah, you know, to try to like section off individual books. It is just such a hassle.
We're like, all right, we're just going to make the whole floor, which is again, basically the whole library. Yeah, show us your ID. I swear. Don't forget these things when the elections come up, you know, some of these maniacs who are, you know, running things in our state, they're just crazy. Our library shouldn't be having to do this. It discourages reading.
You know, what if there's a kid whose parents are like crazy? Yeah, we don't want you reading. We don't want you reading. We don't want you picking up those Harry Potter books.
Yeah, you have. I believe the Harry Potter books are in the young adult section. You have to show an ID to pick up Harry Potter. Yeah, but yeah, if you had a kid who, you know, was poor, maybe maybe their parents are neglectful. They're not going to take them to the library and they just want to ride their bike to the library and read a book.
No. And it's not the library's fault. It's these maniacs that somehow got elected and instead of doing things that the public wants. Well, yeah, let's let's just make it a big hassle for libraries.
It was weird. But again, get out to the library, support your local library. You know, Idaho Falls library is a really good library. So. Wonder what the sitch is in Pokia.
Pokia did the same thing. Been a long time since I've been to that library. Anyway. Nuff book talk.
Say the clock. We're making it through the day. We're going to somehow survive. I hope you're not in pain.
I'll talk to you in a minute. All right, I was scrolling the news and reading a story about a guy who, I guess, showed up at the fire department. With singed eyebrows and bandages on his arms, I ended up at the police station. As he was an arson suspect. Yeah, if you're suspected of arson and you've burned your eyebrows off and your eyelashes and you've got bandages all over yourself and you don't want to get caught.
You should probably stay home. I don't know the full story here, but also in my Facebook memories, it popped up today, a picture of the store that I ran in Burley. And it was a picture that said Mondays. And this was when somebody had hooked a chain to the door of the store in the middle of the night and ripped the wall off of it. And it reminded me of another time the store got broken to where somebody just broke a window and these were like thick, heavy duty windows.
All right. And the glass was all jagged and there was blood all over the place. Whoever climbed through that window, like they got away with like a couple cartons of cigarettes and.
What had to be some pretty brutal wounds? Of course, the Burley police never caught them. I assume they just. Duck taped things up and didn't go to the hospital. You know, Burley Burley criminals, they're not Florida men. Get away with it from time to time. I don't think they caught the guys who ripped the wall off either. Maybe they did.
I don't know. Anyway, that day sucked. We were not having a spring like we are right now. It was cold.
And when there's no wall, yeah, it's cold. Oh, don't miss working in Burley. That's for sure. So anyway. Hope you're doing good today.
Dill them with a little bit of back pain, but I've got my eyebrows. So that's good. Well, I was just reading about a new online scam that some of you might want to be aware of. If you, you know, tend to fall for the ladies online. This one might get you.
So just be aware. This 22 year old aspiring orthopedic surgeon from India was trying to figure out how to get some extra money to pay for his schooling and things like that. He was hoping to emigrate to the US after graduation. So he started looking around online for ways to make money. And you know, he tried like YouTube and things like that.
And then he got the idea. What if I used Google Gemini's Nano Banana Pro to create an AI generated girl and sell bikini photos of her? So he started posting generic photos of, you know, this woman in bikinis and things like that. And nothing was really working.
So he went back to Google Gemini, asked the AI for advice. And it's like, well, if you create a generic hot girl, you're competing with a million other models. So you got to make them stand out.
So he created the. The MAGA conservative hot girl. And I guess the page got very popular, very fast.
Emily Hart, nurse. And so he posted pictures of her ice fishing, drinking Coors Light, shooting off a few rounds at the rifle range and, you know, captioned with some some pandering statements. And yeah, he said every reel he posted was getting like three to 10 million views. And. Well, then he took it a step further and started making it.
Sounds like photos that were a little more riskier and posted them on other websites. It was making, you know, a few grand a month. And I don't know if he decided to just stop doing it. But it worked. So.
I don't know, it might be a firing up Google Gemini tinkering around a bit. I need some money. I need some money.
Because I don't think this is illegal. And you know, if you can get people to just send you money, like I said, if you've just got a bunch of money floating around and you want to just spend it, you can Venmo me, alright? It'll really go to me. Alright?
Not a fake person. So yeah, be aware. Scammers just running amok everywhere. So as you may know, or as you should know, this show, Peach's show, the noon hour of madness and mayhem, all available on demand everywhere podcasts can be found. So if you missed the program, you can tune in and listen to all that e-appin' minus music. Unless the show's just like terrible. You know, then I don't post it.
You know, maybe a show like today. But it's because I'm having issues. I explained this at the beginning of the show, but last night, you know, just hanging in the hot tub, having a nice chill time, go to get out, slip, fall, and just crack my back on one of the seats in the hot tub. And it hurts like crap.
And then I slept like garbage. Which tends to lead to terrible radio program. But I'm gonna do my best to make it good. Anyhow, aside from my podcast, which is generally posted, we also have the Riverbend Awareness Project podcast. And this month, they're talking about National Volunteer Month. So yeah, you wanna do some good? Help some people out?
Whether you're young or old? There's some way to get involved. You know, even if you've only got a little bit of time. And this episode highlights the many volunteer opportunities available in our community for organizations like the Humanitarian Center, Ronald McDonald House, local animal shelters and such. So, you should fire it up and check it out. We post one of these every month, the Riverbend Awareness Project podcast.
Just like all our other shows, available everywhere that podcasts can be found. You should go check it out. You survive and I hope so. Welcome to the Victorwilt program just before nine o'clock. Hope you're staying awake. Generally, I wait to get more coffee till after the morning show today.
Nope. Second cup, about half mowed down. I'm exhausted. Ugh.
Yeah, after screwing up my back, just slept terrible. Ugh. That alarm clock this morning. You ever wanna just smash your phone? Yeah. Oh well. We're getting through.
Let's see here. Titanic exhibit floods on anniversary of ship sinking. This is not staged according to the staff. All right. Where's this Titanic exhibit at?
The Volo Museum in Chicago. Yeah. They've got before and after photos on their Facebook page showing the, you know, how bad this particular flooding was.
But they wanted to make sure to let everybody know on their Facebook page. You can't make it up. Not staged. No. So, second time in three years that flooding occurred.
The last time happened the day the museum opened. I should probably get somebody out there to take a good look at that. Yeah. One of the people at the museum is like, I think the exhibit's haunted. You know, a lot of the stories we have here, they come from visitors. And we've seen some stuff on security cameras that was kind of weird.
They got it all fixed up and all cleaned up. But if I was going to Chicago Titanic museum, there's got to be something a little more fun, you know, to do. And I'm not a fan of floods. I don't like it.
Flooding spills. Make me a little bit crazy. All right.
I'm going to drink more of this coffee because I'm just B. What was it last week? The PlayStation announced they were jacking up the prices of the PS5 to pretty ridiculous levels. Well, apparently today they've decided to at least put the Fortnite bundles on sale for 400 bucks. So if you've been in the market for one of those today, might be the day to pick one up. Your gaming system sucks. Peaches gets up PlayStation on sale.
Speaker 2: Did you see what a GameStop was allegedly doing these past couple of days is today the 22nd track yet is. Yes. What's it called the Xbox Series X? If you traded it into GameStop, they would have bought it from you for $420 and 69 cents. Wow. Is that true? I don't believe anything I see on the Internet anymore.
Speaker 1: I know. That's why I said allegedly. Yeah. GameStop Xbox. Let's see if there's anything in the news here. And there's one article talking about this.
Speaker 2: It's not from GameStop. It's from like some from Bazinga.com.
Speaker 1: Yeah, it was supposed to be something that happened on 420, man.
Speaker 2: Who started that site? Sheldon Cooper?
Speaker 1: Bazinga.com. The article says they were doing it for PlayStation 5s as well. Yeah. I mean, if I had heard about that, I mean 420 bucks, you could put that toward the PS5 Pro and that would make it a fairly decent deal. But not really because they just jacked the prices up so high. I mean, it's $900 for a PS5 Pro.
Speaker 2: Yeah, I would have sold my Xbox immediately and then just got a better CPU. Yeah.
Speaker 1: I mean, if they were to do a really good sale like that, I don't know what I'd do because you know, with GTA 6 supposedly coming in November, they say the best system to run it on is going to be that PS5 Pro. You know, I want the best gaming experience possible when it comes to GTA 6.
Speaker 2: They're saying that because it costs a whole bunch of money.
Speaker 1: Yeah. And conveniently, they just jack the price of like $200.
Speaker 2: I'd say you know the game's coming.
Speaker 1: Mm-hmm. Because yeah, you know people are going to want to upgrade and, you know, be like me. Got to have the best gaming experience.
Speaker 2: I do like the new CEO of Xbox or Microsoft, whichever. Is it Xbox that she's in charge of? I don't know. I've lost track, but this lady who just got recently in charge of the whole entire thing and she put down the game, the Game Pass price from $29.99 a month to now $22.99 a month. Oh, it's a little bit of a savings. Game Pass will no longer have Call of Duty titles right as they come out.
Speaker 1: Ah, OK. So that's how they're saving a few bucks. OK. Well, yeah, gaming is getting to be a rich man's game.
Speaker 2: Yeah, who's paying for Netflix, by the way, the premium tier? Have you seen the price of that?
Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that. I need to take a look at my Netflix account because I think I had upgraded to that so I could watch Stranger Things and 4K. And I don't I think with the way Netflix does things now, like my kids can't even use my account because, you know, they'll get like a pop up warning. You have to add another household or something. And yeah, so I think I probably am on an overpriced plan. And I need to take a look at it and downgrade.
Speaker 2: You're right. Netflix didn't piss me off recently because I was scrolling through the movies scrolling through the TV show options. I finally clicked on something. Your Netflix is not available in this household. Why can't it just pop up immediately with that message? So I don't I don't sit there and waste my time scrolling through your options. Because you've got to make it difficult, P.J .s. Oh, the other one to see what I'm missing out on, apparently, or something like that. I don't know.
Speaker 1: All right. Well, at least you remind me to get in there. Oh, and I tried to log in the accounts under my daughter's email. Now it's center of code that I got to put in through her email. She ain't going to get that code. I don't deal with this by the time I get home where I can just I'm already logged in. I'm sure I'll forget about it.
Speaker 2: So write it on a post and note, put it on your sleeve or write it on your hand like what kids used to do in elementary school.
Speaker 1: This week's been hectic, man. I have so much I need to get done by Friday that I don't know if I'm going to remember anything. I forgot to clean the dang cat boxes last night. And then I hurt myself. I slipped in the hot tub and I just landed on my back.
Speaker 2: Is there a security cam footage of that or video?
Speaker 1: Maybe, maybe. I don't know. We got to get that right away. Oh, I hurt my back so bad. We'll censor your body for you. Yep, we need to blur some things out. Yeah, yeah. But Becca was laughing at me. I'm like, no, it really hurt. And I woke up this morning, tried to sit up and was like, oh, oh. So, yeah, it's left horribly because I kept waking up just because my back hurts. Today sucks.
Speaker 2: Is karma coming back at you for making fun of Jade yesterday?
Speaker 1: I know I made fun of Jake for Jade for hobbling around with his back pain. And now I'm just like, oh, it hurts.
Speaker 2: I had to walk with him, like, you know, guide him down the street like an old man.
Speaker 1: Let's not get run over by a car now, Jade. Come on. Let's see what this caller wants. Probably it's probably Becca calling to make fun of me. OK, Bear, you were live on the show. Keep that in mind. Who's this?
Speaker 3: OK, is Peaches still there?
Speaker 1: Peaches is still here. And yes, it is Becca calling to make fun of me.
Speaker 3: So when he fell in the hot tub, dude, it was so funny. Grabbed the grab like the whole thing fell down, hurt his back. And I just couldn't stop laughing.
Speaker 1: Yeah, she was laughing at me this morning about it.
Speaker 2: Becca records everything. Why didn't she get that?
Speaker 3: I know I'm I'm really sad that I didn't record it this time because I usually record everything.
Speaker 1: Yeah. And then you can send it out to all your Snapchat friends. Here's Victor falling naked in the hot tub, ripping the hot tub cover on top of himself to try to catch himself.
Speaker 3: And just crashing his back into the seat. Recorded it and sent it to Peaches.
Speaker 1: He would. You would send it to Peaches.
Speaker 3: All the embarrassing videos of me.
Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm still not as bad as the time I fill out of the shower. I almost hit my head on the tile counter, too. And it was on a Friday morning. And I remember like I was listening to traffic school and I had my phone on the counter and all I heard is traffic school powered by the advocates and I'm on the floor. What is running?
Speaker 3: I'm like, what just happened? Yeah, it was hilarious. You should have been there.
Speaker 1: You should have been there. Peaches naked with me in the hot tub.
Speaker 2: That's right. He just needs a pal.
Speaker 3: As long as they stay five feet apart. And it's Victor will.
Speaker 1: Well, the ibuprofen seems to be helping a little bit. But it's just pool party. Peaches pool party.
Speaker 3: Oh, it's Peaches pool party. Yeah, let's do it.
Speaker 1: Well, good to hear from you and I hope you have a good day at work. Hey, thanks.
Speaker 2: You too. Bye. Yeah, one of the hot tub last night in fall, thankfully.
Speaker 1: Geez, yeah, it sucked it. So I'm a little bit grumpy this morning.
Speaker 2: One of my friends moved into that apartment complex, one of the newer ones right by Snake River Landing. They get the perfect view of the fireworks. Oh, yeah, that's true. Immediately park at their place. That's a good idea for the July.
Speaker 1: So I can just get out of there. Heck, yeah. Yeah, that's a good plan. Oh, man, fourth of July going to be here before we know it.
Speaker 2: Peaches 250 years of the United States.
Speaker 1: It's going to be a big one. Yeah, it's going to be a big Melaleuca freedom celebration.
Speaker 2: Frank better by like 250,000 pounds of fireworks or something.
Speaker 1: 250,000 pounds. You can afford it, you know. Yeah, yeah. I mean, they always go bigger and bigger every year. So I know Jade's been working on the soundtrack. Sound pretty good.
Speaker 2: I would love to go to his office, like Frank's office and go see like what the firework buying process is like.
Speaker 1: Well, you know, we generally get to interview him around the fourth of July. You'll have to ask him about it. Sure. Yeah. Like Frank, how do you how do you buy that kind of arsenal?
Speaker 2: So where do you go? Start playing those Joe Dirt Clips. You got any of one of these?
Speaker 1: Yeah, that would be pretty funny. All right, everybody. Let's do a new one from Keanu Reeves and Dog Star. All in now. It's the Victor Wiltshell. I just had a bit of a brain fart. And now I'm like, did I take care of that last night? I was trying to put more water in the hot tub. And then I started spraying the dog, Millie, with the hose. And then I remember putting the hose in the hot tub.
But I don't remember taking it back out again or turning it off. And now I'm freaking out. Becca, shoot me a message. If you're listening, did I get that dealt with?
After I hurt my back, I was just a little bit out of whack after that. Oh, what if it's just out there just flooding my yard? And we got, you know, water issues facing us.
In this country, I don't want to be a contributor to wasted water. All right. Anyway, let's take a look at weather. Weather brought to you by Sinclair Lubrican's hard work is their heritage.
Made American, made true. Today is going to suck. It's going to be cold. I have like 48 might get some rain going on. Could be raining out there right now.
I don't know. I got the blinds closed. I just felt my phone buzz. Let's see if that's good news. Becca is typing.
All right. And it's going to be pretty crappy for the next few days, but we should get hopefully back to the 60s by, you know, mid next week. Thankfully, the weather in Vegas looking pretty great.
I know it doesn't affect most of you, but I know we got a few people that are going to be attending sick new world, looking like mid seventies and cloudy. Perfect. Perfect. And then Friday going to be cooking, though. About 85. And then Sunday, 74.
Great day to be out and about in Vegas. All right. Let's see what she said. OK. All is good.
I turned the hose off. So that's right. We were going to that was prior to me hurting my back. OK, good.
All right, everybody, all is well. Thank you again for tuning in to the Victor Will Show. This program is a production of River Bend Media Group. To contact the show or for more information, hit us up at RiverBendMediaGroup.com.
