#0401 - Vomit, Pain, Poppy, Lightning, Giant Cats, And Other Completely Normal Friday Activities - 07/31/2026
Speaker 1: Yay for Friday, everybody, what up? It's Viktor Wilt. Good morning to you. Hope you slept good. Hope you're feeling great. I slept alright. I had the opportunity, like always, to get some decent sleep. You must hate listening to me in the morning. Hearing me complain about how I failed to sleep properly yet again, but last night was, I don't know, a different different one.
It wasn't as simple as I didn't get in bed in time. Started off a little bit rough. Mentioned a couple nights ago, out of nowhere I got sick. Same thing last night. All of a sudden, blech!
so then I was like, okay, that sucked. Uh, let's go ahead and lay down. Let's just lay down and go to bed nice and early. Sleep this, you know, stomach crap off.
Wake up feeling good, and I'm laying there. I was like, okay, uh, where's my phone? I need to plug that in.
Grab the phone, plug it in. Alright, I better check my pockets, make sure I got all the crap I'm gonna need for the morning. Where are my car keys?
Or I guess they're truck keys. And so at that point I was very tired. I I could have just bam, crashed out. But I didn't want to have to panic search for my keys in the morning. So I decided to look for them.
Nowhere in sight. And I knew they had to be there. Cuz I drove to my house and used them to get in. So they're somewhere. I'm ripping the entire house apart, ripping my truck apart, going through the laundry I started, going through the laundry baskets. Just anywhere humanly possible. Searched for over an hour.
I'm all frazzled, I'm all worked up, getting like extremely stressed. And then I found them where they should always be, but they never are, and that's on the key ch you know, the key holder. I don't know if I put them there or Becca put them there, but it's where they belong, and I just never put them. So then I was like, you know, completely worked up. And I'm like, okay, I can try to go to sleep now. Yeah, that didn't work. You know how it is when you get yourself all just worked up, and then okay, I'm gonna just go take a nap. Yeah, no.
No, it doesn't work out that easy. So I don't know what time I got to sleep, but uh it's kind of a rough morning. Now, my back hurts. And we've got a long fun day ahead.
Cause it's Friday the 31st. Poppy live in Salt Lake City, taking Becca and her daughter. We're cruising along with Ben from the Advocates and his daughter.
Should be a great time. Uh, by the way, as far as the show goes today, Lieutenant Crane is out. Says he's not feeling well either.
I don't I didn't ask him. Have you been like projectile vomiting? Did you eat lettuce?
You know, I did have a salad a few days ago. Hmm, but I it it's not coming out that way, you know. Um, anyway, for today for traffic school powered by the advocates, gonna be doing a little bit of ask me almost anything. Uh hopefully it'll go well. You know, you got fun question you want to ask me for the show?
Save it for 845, about two hours. And uh I'll do my best to answer your questions. Have some fun. Alright, I am going to get back to having a little bit of gatorade.
Woo! We getting wild up in here. And then we'll be back with stuff to talk about here in just a few. Happy Friday again, T. I hope the morning's going good.
Let's get ready for this weekend. Just uh reading about this lottery winner. Why? Why would I want to read a story about a lottery winner?
Cause it's not me, right? Yeah, that's the only lottery winner I want to read about. Anyway, it's some guy who won a lottery when he was uh like 20 years old, spent 50 cents on a ticket and won like 16 million dollars. Yeah, you used to be able to buy uh lottery tickets for 50 cents, I guess, back in the late 90s. What did I get charged for that last Mega Millions ticket? Five bucks. I I think that there was some added on stuff to that one.
I don't think that's the regular price, but anyway. This dude's just talking about, oh, you know, get so rough when you win the lottery, I got all these people, strangers hitting me up for money. And I would imagine that would happen. You know, there are a lot of people out there struggling, and I would hope if you win the lottery, you'd do some things you can to help out people in need. But if your mailbox is just filling up with uh these sad letters all the time, that would have to be uh a bit stressful. If I won the lottery, well, I'd probably disappear.
I would definitely be going by my real name somewhere else and hard to find. Cause he said everyone was hitting him up for money, and you know, if if you start like loaning people money and stuff, or you're you're the the guy paying for everything, even if you're you know, lottery winner, I don't know, it seems like it could it could cause a little bit of a rift sometimes. So, anyway, now he's just doing great.
He retired in his 20s, does a podcast talking about being a lottery winner. Ugh. Some people got all the luck. Me when it comes to Lotto, no. But I got a great life. Alright, I I did get pretty lucky in the end. I got uh great family, great woman, and uh a pretty good job. No, it's a great job.
I just don't want to be awake right now, the usual. So, uh, congrats to this guy. Uh play lotto responsibly, everybody. Okay.
You're more likely to get struck by lightning. Sorry. Mentioned earlier, gonna be heading down to Salt Lake City to see the poppy show tonight. Should be a great time. If you're going and you see me there, say hello.
Would love to chat with you. Uh, but I was reading this article about a guy on I-15 near Salt Lake City, whose truck was struck by lightning on I-15. Ugh.
Alright, he was quite a ways south of Salt Lake. But still, just cruising down the road, hitting the freeway, when all of a sudden, BLAM! Big flash of light. Guy said uh it was so fast, took a second or two to register, but went through the truck, went through me. Not that I felt the lightning or anything, it's just the jolt was so intense, it felt like it just pressured me down, and I was like, holy cow, I just got struck by lightning. So he had to uh muscle his steering wheel to get the truck off the road, because I guess the lightning just shut his truck off completely, and uh people are driving by with just jaws dropped. Ah and then uh his truck just burst into flames. Oh, he was able to find his phone and wallet.
Very nice. Uh, before exiting the vehicle, and uh I mean his truck burned to the ground. There's pictures of it at East Idaho News. It it don't look very look very fun to get struck by lightning in your vehicle. I mean, I'm sure it's bad no matter when it happens, but yeah, that guy's truck. There's no truck left.
Holy crap. What's the weather looking like for today? We got any thunderstorms. Let's take a look.
First, let's look at our local region, because that's what's gonna matter to most of you. I would assume it's just gonna be hot again, hot every day. Yeah, today mostly sunny high of 96. Tomorrow, high of 101. K-Bear 101.
What are we looking at in Salt Lake City? Ugh. I bet it's gonna be pretty toasty. All right, a high of a 103 today. It's gonna be beautiful. Alright, we'll be happy to get out of town tomorrow morning early as possible since they're hitting a high of 105.
Yikes. So there's your uh your weather. Hot.
Hot as crap. Oh. It's alright. I'll I'll take that over uh being covered in a sheet of ice and uh dealing with snow and crappy roads and gloomy gray skies. I'll roast. I got an air conditioner, I'm cool.
You know, AC. I just read a disgusting story. I I just don't understand why it takes so long to get problems dealt with sometimes. Headline is decades in the making, work begins to remove rotten fish sauce from St. Mary's plant. So apparently there had been just decades of fighting this smell from a rotting fish sauce plant in Newfoundland and uh St.
Mary's Island. And they're like, well, I think we're at a point where we're actually close to the finish line in dealing up the stilling up the uh fix for all this stink. So this Atlantic Seafood Sauce Company opened in 1990 but was abandoned in the early 2000s. They left a hundred tanks behind, each holding 3,000 gallons of now long fermented fish sauce.
That's right. Sir Stromming juice, 3,000 gallons per tank. A hundred tanks. And uh I guess the smell has permeated the community for years. Gee, can you imagine?
Alright, I've seen people complain about stinks around here. Can you imagine? If it just went on for decades with no fix. I can actually imagine that. I would assume that people around here, the majority would still vote the people responsible for the stinky fish smell in uh just because.
You know, just gotta have the right letter next to your name. Alright, Seven Dust and Unbreakable, and congrats to Glenn, who noticed that I played a couple Seven Dust songs in a row. Was caller number 20 when the second song started and got himself some tickets to see Seven Dust and Theory of a Dead Man. Heck yeah. Show's gonna be sweet. Got a lot of great shows coming up.
Show Central. Well, I mean, some of them you're gonna have to travel out of town for, like I mentioned, you know, going to Poppy today. But Seven Dust and Theory of a Dead Man, Mountain America Center, September 23rd, gonna be here before you know it. Uh, we're gonna give away some more tickets today as well, so keep listening for a chance to win. Uh, but if you don't win, buy them because you don't want to miss this show.
Those bands are gonna be awesome. And I got a call from a listener who said there's a bunch of hot air balloons near Winco in Idaho Falls, which I live in that area. Becca, maybe you need to go um up in the studio and look out the window. You know, uh so you can see over the neighbors' houses. I saw uh listener Joe post a picture of a hot air balloon coming up over the trees uh in in his neighborhood. So I don't know, there's hot air balloons out there. Just figured I'd give you the heads up.
I saw photo evidence of this on Facebook, but I I haven't seen nothing myself. But I you know, haven't gone outside either, sitting here trying to get the job done. You know, gotta get ahead of the game, be ready for the weekend, be ready for Poppy Live tonight. So can I get a hot air balloon ride to Salt Lake City? That'd probably take a long time, wouldn't it? I don't know. Would I be able to handle a hot air balloon ride? I don't know. Because I do have issues with heights.
But for some reason, hot air balloons seems kind of mellow. I I bet I'd freak out, I don't know. Anyway, I gotta find some freak news.
So you just hang on. Flesh eating bacteria. Another reason to avoid natural waters. Ugh, I'm looking at a horrible picture of a foot here. This is uh disgusting. Uh, I hope it's not the the dead person's foot, but Florida had its first death from uh flesh-eating bacteria. It's called Vibrio Vulnificus, and uh you basically get it from raw seafood or contact with brackish coastal water. Don't go in the water, don't eat raw seafood.
Trust me, if you saw this foot, you would not you'd not be mowing down oysters on the half shell from Florida. Uh serious illness and death can occur in a matter of days, and it eats your skin. Uh all right, I'm closing this article.
You know, you gotta give warnings. You know, sometimes you know your stomach's a little bit off, and you just don't want to see that at this time of day. I guess it could be worse than you know, just stomach being a little bit off, could have that explosive diarrhea, which I I guess is uh gripping the entire country, almost the entire country drowning in case of the explosive diarrhea. Hope you're not suffering from it.
Alright, let's see here. Yeah, I I am not suffering from that, just so you're aware. I got uh something going on with my guts, but it's not that. Uh, let's see here.
What else we got? Some guy in uh Philadelphia had a grenade thrown into his home. And uh, so he threw it back out. Uh, it was an inactive grenade, so not that big of a deal, but know what you like to see uh come smashing through the window at 2 a.m.
Well, a little bit frightening. Okay, and I thought I had something else. Oh, there was a metal band who uh performed at a hospital for a sick patient band called The Scepter. Um, they they call them a metal band. I'm judging them based on appearance. I'm guessing they're a hair metal band. But that's fine.
He likes them. And it's cool the hospital let them put on a show. I'm sure that there were people, yeah, we're trying to shrack it. Well, hey.
You know. I don't know what I was gonna say. I suddenly had a sharp back pain, and it totally threw me off. So let's take a break. Welcome to the Friday edition of the noon hour of madness mayhem, Peaches! Yeah, Friday! Yeah, Poppy Day. I'm very excited. Go check out the show, but my back hurts so bad for some reason.
Speaker 2: Yeah, mine does two.
Speaker 1: Really? Yeah. Have you been projectile vomiting? No. Okay. Because that's why I think my back hurts. For some reason, the last two nights. I just all of a sudden. Oh, geez! And you know, it's uh hopefully not a major problem.
Hopefully, I didn't catch a bug. I mean, I don't think it's the explosive diarrhea that's going around because it's it's not that, it's projectile vomit. But man, it's amazing how much liquid can come out of you when you're like, I didn't drink that much of liquid. Where is this coming from?
What is going on? Stomach bile, dude. I guess so. A little bit uh concerned about going out of town to go to a show with an aching back and uh you know, a vomitous history in the last two days.
Speaker 2: I'm betting money right now. You're gonna be three songs into the set, and one of you three is gonna go, I'm I don't like you, I want to go home.
Speaker 1: And then you guys just leave. Well, this time we're bringing the kids with us. Exactly. So it's gonna be them. It'll be one of the kids who's gonna be.
Speaker 2: like, I'm scared.
Speaker 1: Grow up. They'll be watching landmarks and it breaks out.
Speaker 2: Make them crowd surf. Just all right, we're going into the pit, kids. You know how John Wayne taught those kids how to swim. He just chucked them right into the pool. That's right. That's what I want you to do with her. Chuck them right into the pit. Yeah, be like, grow up. It's time for you to stop being a little baby. Get in there.
Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I told you the last time I saw Poppy, that was one of the most vicious pits I'd seen in years. I mean, I got hurt at that show. Yeah, I could hear you cussing in the video. Got the phone knocked out of my hand, you know, when the pit suddenly slammed into me up front.
Speaker 2: I didn't realize Poppy had a southern accent.
Speaker 1: She doesn't have a southern accent.
Speaker 2: You gotta hear her genuinely talk. Hmm. Where's she from? Tennessee. Is she from Tennessee? She's the only ten I see.
Speaker 1: Oh, oh. Huh, interesting. Well, I'm glad she didn't go into country music. Howdy, partners! It's Me, Poppy. Anyway. Should be fun. I just hope I don't puke. I'm sick of puking, dude. It's annoying. Well.
Speaker 2: Um, let me see. Oh no, she was born in Boston, Massachusetts, but I swear I saw people say that she grew up in Tennessee.
Speaker 1: Okay, let's see, Poppy Southern accent.
Speaker 2: And she's all over the place with her ancestry.
Speaker 1: Here's someone saying, I swear she has a twang in her voice. She does. Uh, this must be her talking to a crowd. Let's see. They say she speaks with a subtle, soft southern twang or drawl. Yeah, she does. In her natural speaking voice, huh? I didn't notice that when I met her in person, but she was talking, you know, with a I am Poppy. You know, that how she usually talks anybody.
Speaker 2: Yeah, like Christian Bale disguised as his British accent.
Speaker 1: Yeah, that kind of in most movies. So anyway, um, that's what I got going on. Vomit, pain, and poppy. That's how I'm kicking off my weekend. Sounds like a great uh podcast.
Vomit, pain, and poppy. Yeah. Well, that might be the uh title of today's episode. Sure. Because uh, I'm just gonna cram uh the Victor Wilt show and the noon hour into one podcast.
Because we're kind of like we did a few days ago. This is all just mixed into my show, and it's too hard to sort it out. Ain't got the time. Unless you want to do it, but I could. You could.
You don't have to. Hey, what's up, Peaches? Good morning. Good morning to you. Good morning to you. Did you see the hot air balloons today? No. Okay, I I saw multiple photos popping up of hot air balloons in Idaho Falls.
Speaker 2: Uh last night I was freaking out about the moon. Okay, Peaches.
Speaker 1: All Alright, I gotta hear this then.
Speaker 2: I was in the hills uh in in Ammon. Try I was about to walk the neighborhood. It was like 10 40 at night. I was kind of waiting for that thunderstorm to roll by. Was it a full moon? Yeah.
Speaker 1: Were you afraid that you were going to suddenly have hair start bursting out of your skin and your back starts arching, you know, your face twists into a dog face, and uh oh
Speaker 2: I turn into a crappy radio DJ.
Speaker 1: Oh! The wolf man! That's right.
Speaker 2: So Justin was showing me a video of that guy in his new position. Uh-huh. And the amount of times he said the station's name tied into something. Oh no. Utterly absurd. Hit up the wow line. Hit up the Wow Country. Wow, this. Wow that. Like, dude, what are you doing? He's wowing.
Speaker 1: Apparently. Wow and Wow, this station sucks.
Speaker 2: But the moon was kind of like barely above the hills. And so I thought it was like a mushroom cloud. So I'm like, oh no. Do the bumps go off?
Speaker 1: Peaches, I I think you would uh probably feel the impact of the blast before you saw the mushroom cord.
Speaker 2: Oh, and it was a windy day, so I was like, is that is that it coming? And I saw it like rise like real fast above. I'm like, how's the moon getting that big? Are we getting closer? And then I I see it just kind of like increase in size too. I'm like, what's going on here?
Speaker 1: Peaches, you shouldn't be eating the mysterious plants you find up in the hills.
Speaker 2: Okay, while you're with those mushrooms. Bring a snack with you next time. Don't just start picking things up off of cow dung. Did you see my uh Snapchat from last night after that was all done? Uh yeah, you looked like you were pretty beat. No, I got the protein puck.
Speaker 1: Oh, maybe I'm gonna see that one. Okay.
Speaker 2: Now it's like chia seeds or sunflower seeds, whatever seeds, and then it's like almond butter and all this stuff, but it's it's literally called a protein puck. And it's just like a hockey putting that you bite into. Huh.
Speaker 1: Is it good for your guts? Yeah. Alright, maybe I need one of those.
Speaker 2: Yeah, there's some dark chocolate ones too. It's pretty good. All right. You can't have dark chocolate late at night because it has caffeine in it, so it's like you're gonna be up. Gotcha.
Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe I'll pick myself up a protein puck and try to get these guts in shape. Because ugh. What am I gonna feel feel like this on a show day? Show day that I don't have to work or anything. I can just go up. Well, I guess I am gonna get a little bit of stage time. I need to look into that.
Speaker 2: You need to ask someone to record you again.
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. I mean, hopefully, Becca or Ben will. Um, or any listeners who are in the crowd. I don't know exactly when I'm going up. Uh, and who knows? Sometimes these things fall through, but hopefully, I'll get to uh scream and yell at the Salt Lake crowd a little bit.
Probably be like, how's everybody doing? Oh, I hurt my back! Oh, geez! You walk up there with a hunch. Oh, Now, you just made a statement to me off air, Peaches. Have you been eating salad?
Speaker 2: I Uh I have been eating a uh lettuce, yeah. Solid or liquid. Oh, they're solid.
Speaker 1: Okay, all right.
Speaker 2: But they're like a different color.
Speaker 1: Okay, I don't want to know more. All right, Peaches. Um, this one's gonna be fun to try to work around. You ever seen the rock skin?
Speaker 2: That's what that's okay, Peaches.
Speaker 1: I'm trying to talk about something appropriate, and that would be uh adult novel. Oh no. All right. I think you were the one who showed me this guy. I keep seeing him pop up online, and uh I don't know why he's so popular, Erling Holland.
Speaker 2: Oh, the soccer player.
Speaker 1: That's right, he's a soccer player.
Speaker 2: Somebody asked, like, hey, do you know that soccer player that looks like he eats steel?
Speaker 1: And that's exactly the guy that she was talking about. Yeah, I see him pop up all over the place online. Apparently, he's very popular. He's great at soccer. And uh Which is a horrible sport. it's basketball with your feet, right? No.
Well, maybe today's NBA. Well, anyway, he must be very popular with the ladies. And uh there was this couple, and we'll just say she she took a picture of this guy of his face, and she attached it to an item.
Um I know where you're going with this. Yeah, and her partner was very upset about this, and is I would be too and is saying that it's cheating. Um I don't know if it's cheating, but it would be concerned. Disrespectful. Disrespectful. Yeah, I'd say disrespectful and weird, because it looks like she used scotch tape to attach the paper face. I mean, do what you gotta do, but that's the kind of stuff that's in the news in the UK. A little bit different than what you find at EastIdaho News.com.
Speaker 2: Let's hear your British accent of this guy finding out his uh girlfriend's disrespecting him that way. Oh, Oi, Brav. What are you doing?
Speaker 1: Uh oh, I need to practice. I I gotta pragnate. I can't do it at all. Yeah, yeah, I suck.
Speaker 2: I was doing a uh a perfect JFK impression yesterday, and I wish I could bring it back up, but I was like, these socks need to get folded. I was It was like the way that I was able to like influ whatever. Inflect.
Speaker 1: Yeah. Is that right? I don't know. My head is about as clear as his, you know. Summertime, good time for a road trip. I got the place for you, Peaches. You need to go visit uh Rooster Rock State Park in Oregon.
Right? It's in the uh Columbia River Gorge. And uh you got the sandy beach. I know you like a beach. How about scenic views? Sure. Okay. What about clothes? I swear.
Speaker 2: If this is another nude location you're gonna try to send me to.
Speaker 1: It is. It's uh well, I think it's the uh only nude beach in Oregon, but they also, at least the Oregonian says one of the best beaches in Oregon. I like that it's named Rooster Rock State.
Speaker 2: What perverted old man wrote this article?
Speaker 1: It's the best beach in my opinion.
Speaker 1: That's what he said. Yeah. Um apparently this was uh put into place back in 1978, and uh, you know, most people don't mind because there are signs everywhere, like you're entering a clothing optional area. Who starts a nude beach? Somebody probably who's hammered. You know what? Oh, take my coat, huh?
Speaker 2: I'm going chunky dunking, and then it just takes everything off.
Speaker 1: Yes.
Speaker 2: Everyone else joins them, becomes a thing.
Speaker 1: So there's yeah, you know, signs all over the place, clothing optional, but you know, people still show up and then they get all mad because people don't pay attention to anything. Why don't the naked people all over the place?
Speaker 2: You should just post in life in Idaho Falls. Why are all these naked people downtown and just see how many people go running to Broadway?
Speaker 1: Well, I'd bet we could get at least a few, because people believe anything they read in life in Idaho Falls.
Speaker 2: I heard from a friend's cousin that it was uh national uh nudist day.
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, uh sure. Sure it is. Um and Lieutenant Crane's not here to answer your questions. So uh we're just gonna have to assume Peaches is telling the truth. Nudist day, and you won't get in any trouble around here for that, no. Um anyway, I just I just thought you might be looking at a road trip. I feel like Rooster Rock State Park might be right up your alley.
Speaker 2: It's you and Jade that are the two most likely to be like, oh, I don't care. Let's do it anyway. Like, let's take a little clothes off and go to a nude beach. Uh Josh would be the same way, I feel like that he would take his clothes off? Yeah, I don't think he would. You get Justin inspired by like, you know, some attractive lady, of course, he'll be like, okay, you know.
Speaker 1: Yeah, I I know Jade.
Speaker 2: Justin's reaching that age where he might become the naked guy in the gym locker room.
Speaker 1: Yeah. Is he not already?
Speaker 2: I feel like he's getting close. You have to reach at least 65.
Speaker 1: Oh, and then you're the naked guy in the locker room.
Speaker 2: Then you're like, I don't care, and then like these everything's dragging, and you're like, dude, please put a towel on at least.
Speaker 1: This is the Victor Willed Show. And note, Lieutenant Crane is out today, so Peaches and I are gonna do a little bit of ask us almost anything, as long as you listeners will participate.
That means you have to call us at 208-535-1015 and ask us questions, and we will answer them within reason. Um, I posted about this in the K-Bear group, but I don't think Andy caught the part about Lieutenant Crane being out.
Speaker 2: Or Star Spangled Eagle 67.
Speaker 1: Oh, I didn't see that one yet. Um I do not have answers about flock cameras personally. We can save those for when Lieutenant Crane gets in. He should be here next week.
Speaker 2: I was going to ask him if you can legally own a kangaroo in Idaho, because I think you can, but there's like certain like you gotta have a permit.
Speaker 1: or something like that? Yeah, It's as with with within these different city limits, there's different rules and yeah.
Speaker 1: I think for exotic animals, it depends on the animal, and then you know, you do have to have some type of a permit. Like I know a guy who owns a serval, which is like a it's a wild cat. Um you know, it's kind of like between a cheetah and a cat. I don't know, it's you'd have to Google it.
Speaker 2: Oh, I think I know who you're talking about.
Speaker 1: Yeah, Damon. He's got a Cerval. He disappeared. Where's he at? I actually bumped into him. Uh where were we at when we saw him? We saw him just the other day. No, is it the Pop Road show? Oh, I think. I don't know. Maybe it was a live.
Speaker 2: It was a different bald guy with the mustache.
Speaker 1: It was him. It was him, and I saw him. I just don't remember where. Uh K-Bear, you are live on Ask Us Almost Anything Powered by the Advocates. Who's this? Dusty. Dusty, what's up, dude?
Speaker 3: Well, I just wanted to help uh Peaches out. There is two kangaroos in Blackfoot, two kangaroos and blackfoot peaches.
Speaker 1: Yeah. All right. That sounds like a terrible pet. They could beat the crap out of you. Yeah, I need to grab my headphones for this. Uh yeah, that would be a good idea.
Speaker 3: I want to say there's uh they have two kangaroos and they own some elk. Um there's another another gentleman I just found out in Blackfoot that owns a tiger. Oh boy. And then there's a lady in Firth that I know that owns a pet monkey.
Speaker 1: That one I'm not too surprised by. You would think after Tiger King, people would give up on the I need to have a tiger thing. But I don't know, I guess it might keep out intruders.
I don't know about it for me though. Tiger, I like cats, but you know, I like my hands too. All right, Peaches is plugging in his headphones.
So yeah, uh he's a little late on that. So Peaches, uh, apparently, based on the sheer number of animals that people in uh Bingham County own. You can own just about anything if you move to Bingham County from what it sounds like.
Speaker 3: Yeah, you can even go to the crazy house and own one of them. Oh, geez.
Speaker 1: All right, all right, Dusty, enough of that.
Speaker 2: In my house is gonna look like a Romstein show. I'm gonna have a person on a leash. All right, ma'am.
Speaker 1: Well, appreciate the call today. You're welcome. See ya.
Speaker 2: Have you seen that classic video of the guy that uh is skydiving and he lands at the ground safely and he some kangaroo approaches him, he's in Australia. He goes, Well, what up skip? And the kangaroo starts beating him up.
Speaker 1: Kangaroo videos where they're beating up people are hilarious. Kangaroos are scary.
Speaker 2: They're jacked, as Joe Rogan would say.
Speaker 1: They are jacked. All right, we'll do one more call. K-Barry, you're live on Ask Us Almost Anything powered by the Advocates. Who's this? Oh, he hung up. Okay. Well, here's what we're gonna do, people. We're gonna take a quick break, then officially kick off the feature. Okay. We're gonna be back in about two minutes.
Get those questions ready. 208-535-1015. It's me and Peaches, no Lieutenant Crane. Ask us almost anything. We're we're not gonna answer questions about flock cameras because Peaches and I don't know. All right. If it's law related, you know, traffic law, we might have answers because I've done this for like 10 years, but let's try to have a little more fun than that. All right, everybody. It's Ask Us Almost Anything time powered by the Advocates Injury Attorneys.
208-535-1015 is the number to call. It's me and Peaches hanging out. So if there's anything at all you'd like to ask us within reason, we would be happy to answer your questions. I don't know if I had any decent questions on my post. Um let me let me pull it up here.
See if we had anybody ask anything that wasn't related to flock cameras. Oh, nice. Hey, at least I turned the mic off. All right, we got somebody calling. We'll talk to them. K-Bear, you are live on Ask Us Almost Anything. Who's this?
Speaker 4: This is Roman from Idaho Falls. Roman? Yes. What's up? Um, I was gonna ask. Could Prime Ben Rofflessberger pump fake a security camera? Okay. Now listen.
Speaker 1: I had to dump out on that. I said within reason. All right.
Speaker 4: So I didn't hear that one.
Speaker 1: So thank you for your call. All right, everybody, let's let's start this over. 208-535-1015 for traffic school powered by the advocates. Or no, ask us almost anything. Let's try to keep it not related to controversial subjects or gross stuff.
Speaker 2: Speaking of uh scumbags, have you seen the guy who collects cards of famous scumbags? No. Last podcast on the left highlighted this guy. His name's Scumbag Card Collector. Okay. And this guy was like, I just got the holy grail. Look at this. And he opens the box, and it's a picture of Jerry Sandusky with a bunch of kids smiling at him.
Speaker 1: And it's signed by Jerry Sandusky. Yeah. It's an old baseball card or old old baseball card. Old card of picture. He And then he just uploaded another photo saying, I got my Ray Rice collection looking nice. And it's all these pictures, all these cards of Ray Rice.
What a weird thing to collect. Yeah. Uh K-Barry, you're live on Ask Us Almost Anything powered by the Advocates. Who's this? This is Josie. Josie, what's up, man? What do you want to know?
Speaker 4: All right. I got two questions, okay? I won tickets the other day off of Peaches. And I was wondering when those are coming out. And then I want. Then I wanted to know what was what has been your guys' favorite concert within within 2025, 2026 so far. Okay.
Speaker 1: First part of your question were those uh seven dust tickets. Yes. Okay. They'll either be going out today or beginning of the week. Uh guaranteed you will get them before the show in September.
It's gonna be soon. Part two of your question. Um let me really think on this one. Sleep Token was really, really good last year. Billy Strings was really, really good. Uh Trans-Siberian Orchestra was really, really good.
Speaker 2: I forgot about that. I was trying to think of all the shows that I saw in 2025. This year I've been kind of taking it easy. Yeah. I've been laying low, as I say. But uh Bad Omens Bear Tooth and President. That was the one that's that was a show that stood stands out. Uh Bill Murray last year was great.
Speaker 1: Uh oh, Sick New World. That was really good with System of a Down and uh, you know, Acid Bath Mastodon. That show was awesome. That show was great.
Speaker 2: Um my camera roll right now. Yeah. Scrolling back to 2025.
Speaker 1: I've gotten really lucky and seen a ton of really, really good shows. Josie, what's the best show you've seen in that time frame?
Speaker 4: I would have to say. Uh probably the hailstorm. Uh Bowl Beach show was pretty decent. Was that last year? Wow. Yeah.
Speaker 2: No, that wasn't last year. Oh, yeah. it was. Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 4: Um, that I've been to quite a few so far, and can't wait for the next one. Yeah. Um, Well. yeah, I'd have to I'd have to go there because I'm actually brain farting.
Speaker 1: It's all good, man. I'm with you on that. So it's uh it's been a long week. Ready for the weekend and uh ready to go check out what I'm hoping will be one of the best shows I see this year.
Speaker 2: Weird owl last year also was a great show. Weird ow.
Speaker 4: Yes, weird L was amazing.
Speaker 1: And I don't remember if it was last year that me and Ben went to Poppy or the year before. It was last year. Was it? That show was really good too. So right on. All right, man. There you go. Appreciate the call, Josie.
Speaker 4: Well, appreciate it. You guys keep rocking and we'll keep listening. Heck yeah, man. You have a good one. You too. Thank you. Peace.
Speaker 1: K-Bear, you are live on Ask Us Almost Anything, powered by the Advocates Injury Attorneys. Who's this? It's Mitch. Mitch, what's up, man?
Speaker 4: I got two questions for you.
Speaker 2: I swear if you ask where your tickets are at.
Speaker 1: I already talked to you about your tickets today, Mitch. I know. But you said Glenn won them. And that's what I was asking. Make sure that one of those pairs of tickets is going to Glenn, isn't going to Mitch.
Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, no. Sorry, I screwed up. I gave away two pairs today, and I must have said Glenn won them both times. But no, up. Mitch won the second time. Yes.
Speaker 4: All right. My second question is, Victor, can you hook me up with meeting this servo? I am a cat freak. I love cats. Oh, the server. Oh, meeting the serval.
Speaker 2: I thought he was some of a musician. I'm like, who's like who's the servo?
Speaker 1: Um, I may be able to. Um, I don't know. Shoot me a Facebook message and maybe I can get you in touch with my homie. And I don't know. He's brought them by he's brought the serval by the studio before. Really? Yeah. That's a big cat. Yeah, it's it's pretty big.
Speaker 4: One of my one of my favorite cats is the Savannah, which is the breed underneath the servo.
Speaker 1: I think he has one of those, too. It's or else it's uh, I can't remember. Because Bangle's like a regular cat, isn't it?
Speaker 4: Bangle is a big tiger. I was gonna say those.
Speaker 1: No, but like they have a Bangle like regular cat too, I thought. Oh. I don't know. Yeah. I'm done with my brain, but I
Speaker 4: like the Savannah and uh the uh oh that big cat. What's the name of that big cat? Shoot, I can't remember it now. Uh I have it uh I have a Facebook page with it on there.
Speaker 1: Um I've seen a few Facebook pages with people who have these giant uh wild cats, and some of them are really, really frightening. You should just say you own Bobcats. Bobcat.
Speaker 2: Did it because your real name
Speaker 1: Yeah, I I I should own a bobcat. Yeah.
Speaker 2: No, but it's just like you actually already do because it's your first name plus I own all of them.
Speaker 4: In Canada, there's a lady right there at the tip of Idaho that's uh raises and sells links kittens.
Speaker 2: Don't mention Canada to Victor right now. Yeah, I've had Victor hates Canada.
Speaker 1: I'm I am I am anti-Canada right now, or at least uh the Canadian insurance system and uh not the cis.
Speaker 2: Like if if you if you live in Canada, it's great, but if you're a visitor and you get in an accident, it is not good. So anyway, uh appreciate the call, Mitch, and uh hope you have a good one. Okay, uh one more question. Sure.
Speaker 4: How many times would you guys leave the fifth?
Speaker 1: Oh at least 500.
Speaker 2: What day of the week is it, Mitch? Let me know. What colors are tied?
Speaker 1: Hey, thank you guys. Have a good one, Mitch. Peace.
Speaker 1: Kare, you're live on Ask Us Almost Anything, powered by the Advocates. Who's this?
Speaker 4: Sunday, Sunday, Sunday. Yeah!
Speaker 1: What's up, Crazy Carl?
Speaker 2: I was at that car show last weekend, Crazy Carl. You weren't even there. I was I was hoping he'd be popping up, you know, looking at all the different cars. I I'd do better.
Speaker 4: Right. There were four different car shows going on last week. Yeah. And uh I ended up at the Fort Hall show hanging out with the Logos, man. It was awesome. Yeah. All right. Uh shout out to Eric Falls on the POW show out there. So yeah, my my dance card was a little full last weekend.
Speaker 1: Right on, man. Right on.
Speaker 4: So uh speaking of car shows, uh Premier Collision, we're having our uh 25th anniversary in uh Kotan Park tomorrow, and uh uh they're giving away a free engine uh with every entry, uh all kinds of prizes, raffles. Uh we got five food trucks coming. Should be a good time, man. Oh yeah.
Speaker 1: Oh, good for you.
Speaker 4: Oh, think that's I think
Speaker 4: I think that's like a seventh lunch I owe you guys, man. I think it is.
Speaker 1: All right, any questions, Carl? Yeah.
Speaker 4: So uh oh, real quick, uh, you guys were just talking about cats. Uh we have a bangle cat that hangs out at the shot. Gorgeous cat. I mean, I've I've never seen a prettier cat in my life. And he's he's just a total stray. I've been feeding him for the last year, and uh my kids left it up. These cats go from five to eight grand a piece.
Holy cow. And I've yeah, no, they're like super rare, super expensive. And the cat's so feral, like I I've pet him a couple times, but man, I really want to catch this thing.
Speaker 1: Well, if it's feral, uh, you might want to avoid it, Carl. Cats can mess people up. pretty good.
Speaker 4: I think I don't I don't think he's had his shots, and if he bit me, he might need his shots.
Speaker 1: Yeah, if you uh you get a chance, man. Look up Bangle, Bangle Cats, man. They're pretty.
Speaker 1: No, I thought I thought there were Bangle Cats, so yeah. Well, Carl, you have yourself a great weekend at the car show, and as always, good to hear from you, man. Yeah.
Speaker 4: Right on. All right, thanks for the plug, you guys. Have a good weekend, man. Yeah, see you, man. All right, we'll see it.
Speaker 2: So far, we had a dump out of the first caller. We had to uh we had to answer the question. Where what are my tickets showing up? Two times, two times. And then it just resorted to cats. Typical. Hello. Oh, that's good old show. I never realized we've picked up a caller, but pick up a caller.
Speaker 1: Um, hey, caller, uh, let me do the legal ID really fast. Hold on. Okay, caller. Thank you for your patience. Who's this?
Speaker 3: Uh, this is Steve O, the Mud Vane guy again.
Speaker 1: Steve O The Mud Vane guy, what you got for Ask Us Almost Anything?
Speaker 3: So I want an answer from both you and Peaches. I just want to get a better understanding of your guys' thought process. Um, okay, so you're either Make a Wish Foundation or somebody just you know a millionaire and they threw a festival in your online honor. your honor.
Okay. Choose five bands, and it'd be the last concert you could ever see. What five bands would you choose? And who would open and who would headline and why? Okay.
Speaker 1: Do they have to be bands that still exist?
Speaker 3: Uh so this could realistically have. happen? It could just be your ultimate dream concert. Just your ultimate, whatever, the last show that you would ever be able to see.
Speaker 1: Just oh, this is this is kind of hard.
Speaker 3: I mean, I was gonna start off by telling you mine. Yeah.
Speaker 1: That'll give me a few minutes to think. So what you got? Okay.
Speaker 3: So my concert would be pretty badass in my opinion. Sorry for the A word. I didn't mean to say that. Uh, it's okay. Um, Well, it would be, and I guess not in this order, but I guess I would have slip knot open for some reason. I don't know.
But then it would be black label society. Okay. Soul fly. Tool. And then of course I have to go with the headliner of Mudvane, or even Chad Gray doing his hell yeah and Mudvain solo stuff. Yeah.
Speaker 1: That does sound like a pretty good lineup. Um all right. I'm I'm heavily thinking on this one here. I know my headliner would be tool. That's that's who I'd want to see headline. How about how about Maynard headline? Can I so I could squeeze three bands into one?
Speaker 3: Yeah, it's him just do the perfect circle, pussyfer, and tool, yeah.
Speaker 1: Yeah, but then he's also just rolling around doing his jujitsu stuff on stage. That's all that Victor wants to see.
Speaker 1: Uh so I'd throw I'd throw nine inch nails into the mix.
Speaker 3: Um Okay, so tool and nine inch nails.
Speaker 1: I'd throw the Beatles into the mix, and it would be like the later years. Uh, so I could hear them play songs they never played live. I'd probably throw the original Pink Floyd lineup into the mix. Oh, we're talking like just fantasy. Well, yeah, yeah, that's what I asked him. If you could uh he said your dream show, they don't have to still be around.
Speaker 3: Um I'd yeah, just your last time you'd be able to see a concert, just who would be in that?
Speaker 1: Yeah, and then I'd say I'd say a Dax Riggs medley like Mar like uh with uh Maynard, so you get some acid bath, agents of oblivion, Dead Boy in the elephant men.
Yeah, I know I'm cheating. Uh and I'd probably I mean I could but I'd want Poppy in the mix. I'd want Devin Townsend, Opeth. I can't pick just five. Uh what do you got?
Speaker 3: OTEP, that'd be cool. I haven't seen Notep since they played in Blackfoot long time ago.
Speaker 1: Oh, this is Opetha.
Speaker 3: Oh, okay. I thought you said OTEB.
Speaker 1: Yeah, no, oh petha. So uh yeah, what'd you got, Peaches? You guys chose all these like harder bands.
Speaker 2: I was like, you know, sleep token. Uh uh who else was there.
Speaker 3: Yeah, they've like my my lineup isn't heavy enough.
Speaker 2: Yeah, original Lincoln Park. Okay.
Speaker 3: Uh you know what? That would be a good one to have them resurrect. Who else would there be?
Speaker 2: I mean, I was gonna say AC DC, but they might be on their last five shows themselves. Yeah, well, you know, this is your dream lineup.
Speaker 1: You could say ACDC from 1980.
Speaker 2: But also, I like ACDC without Bon Scott, so okay.
Speaker 3: So maybe Scott over Brian Christopher, huh? I choose the same way.
Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe I was gonna say ACDC right after Bond's death, but that's a little that's that's rude. That's a little rude. Too soon. He projectile vomited. Too soon. Unfortunately. He didn't projectile vomit. He actually peaches.
Speaker 1: Um what do you got? Two more bands? One more band?
Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm trying to think two more bands here.
Speaker 1: I mean, I know you like a lot of bands. It'd probably be some sad. What's the sad stuff you cry too?
Speaker 3: Hey, for you, Peaches on this one, the last two, go current bands that are you can see live today.
Speaker 1: Yeah, if I was gonna go current bands, I mean definitely Poppy.
Speaker 2: Um I'll go with I'll go with a data remember and uh Silverstein. All right. Okay.
Speaker 1: It's a pretty hard question, dude.
Speaker 2: Yeah, because there's so many bands that I like.
Speaker 3: And who is your headliner again?
Speaker 2: Uh I'll make the sleep token haters mad and just say sleep token.
Speaker 3: They do get a lot of hate, don't they?
Speaker 1: Oh, I'm see, I'd probably throw Ghost into the mix. They're really good lives. That would be cool. Yeah, but I already seen Ghost.
Speaker 3: a few times. If they go with your whole Maynard thing, I would have to compliment them. I'd have to add Primus to that just because Primus is so good. Primus? I was so pissed that I missed that concert in Idaho Falls. the birthday bash.
Speaker 1: Primus in Idaho Falls was awesome. And then the the Maynard birthday bash, I saw it in Salt Lake. Definitely one of the best shows I've ever seen.
Speaker 2: I saw the uh I was watching the My Name is Mud music video. And I'm My Name is Mud. And I I I thought I actually had to look it up. I'm like, is that actually Christian Bale? That's in the music video.
Speaker 3: It does look like Christian Bell, doesn't it?
Speaker 2: He looks exactly like Christian Bale in that video.
Speaker 1: Uh it's been a long time. But it's Les Claypool. Yeah.
Speaker 2: But he looks like and people are making jokes, saying you've never seen Les Claypool and Christian Bale in the same room. Huh, I missed out on all that. Yeah, pull up the music video somewhere.
Speaker 3: Does that mean Les Claypool is Batman? Yeah.
Speaker 1: Let's go with Batman. Heck yeah.
Speaker 2: Imagine the Batmobile just blasting too many puppies. The dark nine. Oh, he does.
Speaker 3: I'm just trying to get a better understanding of your guys' personal music case. That's what the objective of the question was.
Speaker 2: I thought Victor was going to choose like do a Lipa, you know. Yeah, yeah. Lady Gaga. Do a Leap of Lady Gaga. Swift,
Speaker 3: Lady Gaga, All my favorite people's only tour.
Speaker 2: Do a Lipa, Lady Gaga, Poppy, uh, only Courtney from Spirit Box.
Speaker 3: Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera.
Speaker 1: There you go. Gotta have some of the 90s throwback.
Speaker 2: No, you want Doja Cat in there too. I know you like her.
Speaker 1: She got a couple good songs. Yeah.
Speaker 2: No, I'm not saying about her songs. I'm saying you like her.
Speaker 1: Oh, oh, now you're gonna throw me under the bus. Yeah.
Speaker 3: She's a good person.
Speaker 1: Becca's gonna be showing up. You're gonna get me.
Speaker 2: She has a dog in the back of her car. Is she bringing the dog in here too?
Speaker 1: No, she's bringing uh Millie to get a haircut. Oh. So she's dropping the dog off. Yeah. No dogs allowed my studio. I was gonna say. What's going on here?
Speaker 3: Then you have to add the Miley Cyrus Sally Parton duo to that too.
Speaker 1: Sure, throw it in the mix. All of it.
Speaker 2: Dolly Parton would be a little too old.
Speaker 3: Nothing makes my heart pump more than hearing them do.
Speaker 1: that, Jolene. I have a feeling we're gonna get out of
Speaker 2: control, Steve O the Dolly Parton guy. Yeah. Well, we appreciate the call.
Speaker 3: man. Every few band in my concert should do A cover of a Dolly Parton song. That would be cool.
Speaker 2: Yeah, I want to hear Chad Gray bust out Jolene.
Speaker 1: Yeah.
Speaker 2: Working 925.
Speaker 3: Corey Taylor,
Speaker 1: John. Jolene! Well, you have a good one, man. Appreciate it.
Speaker 3: And you guys too. I appreciate you guys' time. Thank you for letting me ask my question. Of course. See you, man. Have a good day. Go, Mud Vane.
Speaker 1: Mudbane was a good show, too. Uh K Bear, you're live on track. Ask us almost anything, powered by the advocates. Who's this?
Speaker 3: Hey, this is Pete Pablo. Come on.
Speaker 1: Peter Pablo, come on. What's your question, right?
Speaker 3: Hey, this is for my homie uh Peaches. Hey, So you're los the you know how you're losing weight? Yeah. Hey man, so are you gonna start packing off some fucking uh some hey?
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3: Hi! I'm sorry, sorry, sorry.
Speaker 1: All right, yeah. That's your final chance.
Speaker 2: Every time I see every time I hear a listener cuss and I see Victor react, it's the funniest thing ever because he starts his eyes get real big. He presses the button as fast as possible, but he misses the first few times. Oh my god. It looks like he would suck at press your luck. I'd be no good at pressure luck.
Speaker 3: I'm so sorry.
Speaker 1: I'm so sorry, Matt. So no naughty words. Go ahead and ask Peaches the question.
Speaker 3: So are you planning to put on some muscle? Okay. No, I want to be a weakling.
Speaker 1: Just once Think all this, that. man.
Speaker 3: Peaches, slim down with a lot of muscle. You could be you go like the big cities and be a bouncer. You know how much you hate people? You'd be the greatest bouncer ever.
Speaker 1: But you hate people. Peaches all swole would be a pretty good bouncer. That's for sure.
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah. I mean, he hates the world. I think he I'd honor him. You know what?
Speaker 1: Peaches, you might have scary. You might have a future here. Uh yeah. You just hit up the Mountain America Center once you get all swole and you can become the new head of security for the Mountain America Center.
Speaker 2: And then you just start dragging people left and right.
Speaker 3: Anyways, yeah. I think you would look cool. Put on put on some muscle mask and be a scary looking bouncer, man.
Speaker 1: Well, dude, appreciate the call today, and uh I hope you have a good one.
Speaker 3: I appreciate you guys. See you, brother. You can yeah, bye.
Speaker 1: Yeah, when me and Becca were at Walgreens, Peaches hang on collar. You know, we were sending you pictures of magazines. Um remind me that uh I'm gonna tell you an off-air joke that when me and Becca got done sending you that Snapchat, I was like, Oh!
I don't remember if it was her or me that realized like we totally dropped the ball on the ultimate just rude joke to throw Peaches. But I'm not gonna do it on air. So just remind me. Okay, it'll make you laugh. I know your sense of humor.
Speaker 2: Well, there was one magazine that you send. You're like, that's definitely Peaches right there, and it was uh
Speaker 1: I don't even want to say it because it's uh
Speaker 2: yeah that might be insulting to some listeners.
Speaker 1: It would be. It would be, so don't say it. Okay. There was an even better joke in the mix. All right. All right. Uh caller, you're live on the show. Who's this? Dusty. Dusty again. What's up?
Speaker 3: So uh on your little lineup, you should have said Bloodhound Game.
Speaker 1: Bloodhound game. Well, I mean You must have a good time before he he's... the roof is on fire, but uh isn't that one of their songs? I don't know. I don't I'm I don't know much of the Bloodhound gang, so yeah. Uh what what's your lineup, Dusty?
Speaker 3: Um that's the one I'd really like to see is Blood Hub game, uh the Beastie Boys.
Speaker 2: Um I thought he was about to say like the Aquabats or something like that, you know. Yeah.
Speaker 1: Okay, so a lot of early 90s hip hop.
Speaker 3: Yeah, a lot of old nineties. Um and sadly, it seems like the good artists die soon.
Speaker 1: Yeah, it does uh tend to happen, unfortunately.
Speaker 2: But uh well, Amy Winehouse did die soon, and she was not, you know.
Speaker 1: Peaches, Amy Winehouse was good. She actually had pretty good songs. Speak for yourself to Peach their own.
Speaker 3: So my question to you guys is when you go to Mountain America to uh watch concerts. How do you guys feel about the sound quality and the lighting? At Mountain America? Yeah.
Speaker 1: I mean, I think it really all depends on the band.
Speaker 2: Well, last night it was uh your good friend Charlie doing the lights for Gavin Adcock. It was? Yeah. Really? Yeah. So the lights sucked.
Speaker 1: Charlie does a great job with lights. Yeah, I mean, I've seen shows there where the sound was perfection, like Tool, for example. The lights and the sound, perfection. Death clock, lights and sound, perfection. And then I've seen other bands that I'm not going to name that they didn't sound very good and the lights were kind of boring. So I think it's an individual band thing. It's not the venue for sure. Okay.
Speaker 3: Yeah, because I noticed uh if you're up front, I mean it's good because then you know the lights aren't uh blinding out the band. But if you're farther back, it's pretty much blinding them all out. You can't even see the band. And then the sound quality, I noticed they got the vocals uh too low, and then it's just high pitch. Huh.
Speaker 1: Yeah, I I I really think it does depend because I've I've been in the very back corner of the arena. Like when we saw Weird Out, we were all as far back as you could go, and Weird Owl sounded great. But I've been at other shows where I was in the back and it didn't sound so good.
Speaker 2: I gotta say the best sounding band I've seen at that venue is falling in reverse. I don't know.
Speaker 1: Their sound is immaculate. They sounded incredible for sure.
Speaker 3: Well, it's just kind of upsetting, you know, when you spend that to watch uh uh a band and then the sound quality is kind of ruined. Oh it's not the band's fault, but it's the the guy's controlling the sound, and you're like, come on, you guys, get on top of this. Yeah.
Speaker 2: Well, even like with uh the Papa Roach show, like set it off. They're the Cody's mic was way too loud.
Speaker 1: Yes, and just you know, where the sound man's at. Like if you want the best sound at a show, go to where the sound booth is. That's where it's gonna sound the best in the entire venue. So, you know, if you can pick a seat and you're going because you want good sound, that's where you want to be, right by the sound guy.
Speaker 2: When I saw uh Shinedown, they were all it was extremely loud. It was too loud. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 3: Yeah, I was I wish they would put uh screens on the sides, so because of that reason.
Speaker 1: Yeah, that would be well, see, and I think that depends on the band too. Uh, Tool had screens on the sides. Um and I've seen other bands at uh Mountain America Center that did have the screens on screen.
Speaker 3: So yeah, and then uh uh when I went to the concert for uh Papa Roach, I thought of that same thing, screens on the side for there.
Speaker 1: Yeah, that that would be nice, especially because that venue is like twice as big as uh the Mountain America Center, so screens could definitely be helpful there for the people back on the lawn.
Speaker 3: But well, the other thing I thought would be helpful too is uh I was standing over kind of by the beer booth and a girl uh fainted because of the heat and they uh she passed out uh and they were trying to get help, but it took forever finally to get help. They should put like the how campuses have the little flashy blue light. Yeah. They should put those around so you can hit the button, everybody can see that, and then go find they could be there quicker to see where they need to get help.
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that that that is a decent idea because sometimes it can be hard to track down a security person. Um I mean, best case scenario, run to the stage or an entrance or exit, because there's always gonna be somebody there. Um, but I hope that person ended up okay. It was a very hot day that day.
Speaker 3: Yeah, well, she was yeah, they got her up and going. She was good. Um, but I noticed when we go to Usauna Amphitheater up in Utah, uh same kind of stuff happens, and security has to use their flashlight and flash it. And uh to get their attention, I'm thinking, well, if they had like a flashy light, like a stick or whatever, they would be able to see where they need to go through the crowd. Yeah.
Speaker 1: Well, um, you know, it's something interesting I could pass on to uh security teams at some of the local venues, and maybe something they could think of, because anything you can do to anything you can do to improve concert safety is good. You know, there have been some bad incidents at concerts in recent years. So Oh, yeah.
Speaker 3: And I've had some interesting ones uh where people decide, hey, I don't want to leave. I'm just gonna pee right behind you.
Speaker 1: Apparently a lot of people a lot of that going on at shows these days.
Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just like, oh, I didn't really want a puddle behind me. Well, let me pick up my blanket before it gets all drenched up.
Speaker 2: I just didn't want to leave the pit area, my bad. Come on, Peaches. I was going peaches. Well, we appreciate it.
Speaker 3: That'd be awesome if you could pass that along and uh you know help security out with that. That'd be great. Sure.
Speaker 1: I'm always down to pass on suggestions. Awesome. All right, dude. We'll have a good one today. You too. Peace. All right, last call, everybody. 208-535-1015 for questions for trap uh ask me almost anything, ask us almost anything, powered by the advocates. Hopefully, Lieutenant Crane will be back in uh next week. He just uh he said he wasn't feeling well.
Speaker 2: I know uh Maddie from down the hall, she's gonna race in his crazy figure eight car races, not this Saturday, but next Saturday.
Speaker 1: I think it's next Saturday. Yeah. I'm I'm I had talked with him a little bit about it, but uh you going into it too? Yeah. But there's that motionless and white show the night before. Right. So I'm like, I don't know. We'll see. And my back hurts and my wrist is messed up.
It seemed like a good idea. My back. My wrist. Okay, I'm gonna leave it there.
All right, a fine edition of Ask Us Almost Anything, powered by the Advocates. Uh Peaches and I'll be back in a few. I don't know what's going on the rest of the show, but we'll figure it out. What is up, Peaches?
Speaker 2: Uh, my mirror showing up. That's about it.
Speaker 1: Oh, you're you're lean up against the wall, giant mirror. Very classy. Um, speaking of things that aren't classy. Have you talked to anybody about the uh the Gavin Adcock show from the arena last night? Has Justin given you uh his thoughts? No. Okay.
Speaker 2: Well, I heard him say a lot of funny things about the uh about the the spectators of the show. Yes, because I was filling up my water bottle as you were talking to him.
Speaker 1: Okay, yeah. His uh analysis of the crowd was one of the funniest things I've ever heard. Justin was cracking me up this morning. Now the show looked like pure chaos because there were just cups of beer consistently flying through the air. Like everybody who left that show must have just stunk.
And I've I feel terrible for the staff who had to just mop all night long. But Justin's description of the people there, no offense if anybody was at the show last night. But it is there any appropriate descriptions that he said that we can share. Uh mouth breathers.
Speaker 2: I was about to say that part, yeah.
Speaker 1: Mouth breathers.
Speaker 2: He said the one guy was gonna go home and do something. That made me laugh.
Speaker 1: Oh, there's Becca. Take this mic right here, Becca. We'll get you on here. We're just wrapping up the noon hour so you and I can get out of town, go see Poppy. Yeah. We were talking about the uh the Gavin Adcock show last night. I don't know if you've seen any of the videos floating around from that at the arena.
No. Uh he's a country artist, and uh apparently, according to Justin, has basically the dumbest audience that he's ever seen pack in arena. Uh he used a lot of different phrases, one of which was mouth breathers. Um, and that it he's never been to a show like this. If you look at the videos, the whole show, people are just throwing beers uh through the air.
Speaker 4: Well, yeah, I did hear about that. Yeah. Yeah, that will be fun.
Speaker 1: It looked fun. I told him if I knew it was gonna be just a dumpster fire, I I would have been there.
Speaker 4: Well, I remember there was someone, uh who who is it? Uh gosh, I can't remember who the artist is, but they like throw sodas everywhere. Oh, uh ICP. Yeah, ICP.
Speaker 2: And I did ask Chad GPT what what musicianslash band has the dumbest audience. Uh-huh. Taylor Swift. Insane clown posse. Oh. Sorry, ICP. So go for it.
Speaker 4: Sorry, sorry. ICP was gonna be here one time at the gym in Idaho Falls, and they got canceled because then the venue realized uh they throw sodas everywhere. Yeah, they played. Not Faygo.
Speaker 1: Yeah, they played in Pocatello uh at a place that used to exist called The Rock, and I believe all the soda caused the uh support for the floor in uh a big area to just collapse. It just show over.
Speaker 2: we should get a whole bunch of FAGO and like go to the East Idaho news bathroom and just chuck it everywhere. Pour it down the drain. Yeah, make some black sludge.
Speaker 4: Peaches, Victor, throwing sodas, beer everywhere. That that would be fun.
Speaker 2: But also this list goes on to say fish fans. Fish fans are the dumbest. That's what I was about to say, sorry, Piper. Uh Kanye West fans.
Speaker 1: I think if you're still a Kanye West fan, you gotta be kind of dumb.
Speaker 2: But then it says tool
Speaker 4: fans are frequently joked about as acting like listening to the band makes them intellectually superior.
Speaker 1: That's right. We're smart. We're not dumb.
Speaker 4: No, actually, that's funny because you know who's a big tool fan.
Speaker 1: And who's the smartest in the room, huh?
Speaker 4: Uh obviously not you.
Speaker 1: We got Becca in the house and Peaches, and wea whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Speaker 2: We got Becca and Peaches. Sorry. Sorry.
Speaker 4: Whoa, dude, I think it's a Becca Peaches and then Victor. Yeah. Whoa. No, just kidding. I bet it's Peaches Becca. and then Victor. Even better.
Speaker 1: Well, off air, we were talking about getting ready to get out of town and getting ready for a show. And you said it took you or takes you 45 minutes to get ready for a concert.
Speaker 2: Only 45 minutes. Only.
Speaker 4: Well, that's including a shower. Then you gotta do your makeup. You gotta do your hair. You gotta do all that stuff. And you know, come on, women. You know how long it takes, and then a man can just jump in the shower and be done in like five minutes. Yeah.
Speaker 2: I want to see Victor jump in the shower because he's I'll fall off the show.
Speaker 4: No, actually, Victor takes longer than I take to get ready. No, I don't. That is not true.
Speaker 1: Now but when you said 45 minutes, I was thinking back to last week. Papa Roach. I remember waking you up and being like, hey, you've got an hour till we gotta go. And I believe we ended up leaving about an hour and a half from that point.
Speaker 4: Yeah, because I was I was pounding down some beers. Oh, that's right, brother.
Speaker 2: She was getting ready with it. She was morphing into Ravonda. Yeah, Ravonda had to come out.
Speaker 1: And then Ravonda forgot her phone.
Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, then we're gonna be able to do that. we had to turn around. When we were about to the freeway. Like, ah!
Speaker 4: yeah, Victor was like, oh my gosh.
Speaker 1: It's all right, we made it just in time.
Speaker 2: Everything worked out fine. I'm leaving. He takes off without you. No, that was later at the show. He didn't he would.
Speaker 4: I don't know. I had to stop. Maybe he would.
Speaker 1: Well, see, apparently we should have gone to that Gavin Adcock show last night, because at that show, it was perfectly appropriate and expected for beer to be poured all over you.
Speaker 2: I bet the venue loves that because people spend all this money on that beer just to throw it and then they go back to get more.
Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. The beer sales at that show, they must have just made a killing.
Speaker 4: I know. I think Victor really liked the Poparote show.
Speaker 1: I liked the Poparoat show. It was really fun. He got a bunch of beer spelled on him. None down the going, all on my head.
Speaker 4: And I don't know who that was from. Yeah, I wonder. What?
Speaker 1: Dura.
Speaker 4: It was me!
Speaker 1: Nah, it was a fun show. Tonight should be a really good time too, though, with uh the poppy show. But try to take uh, you know, five minutes to get ready. All right, we we gotta hit the road.
Speaker 4: Five minutes are you are you delusional?
Speaker 2: He installed the shot clock in the bathroom. Yes. And uh, wait, what?
Speaker 1: Okay, there's there's a timer in there.
Speaker 4: Yes, exactly.
Speaker 1: Oh, and if uh if at a certain point the the shower ain't done or something, it just shuts off. It just shuts off.
Speaker 4: It's like prison. So There's like conditioner in my hair, and there's like nothing I can do about it. You ever seen the movie before?
Speaker 1: Or just the hot water, just the hot water shuts out. off.
Speaker 2: I've seen Holes. Stanley O'Nats is trying to wash his hair. The shower just shuts off. That's what's gonna happen. Victor's just gonna walk in there and just turn the knob off, pick you up, and then take you outside.
Speaker 4: Uh, that's when someone gets punched in the face.
Speaker 1: I will use the hose outside to, you know, finish our up your shower.
Speaker 4: That's right. since you sprayed me with the hose that one time unexpectedly in the back. I will get you back by the high high-powered spray rinsing.
Speaker 2: I want to I want to see Becca throw a punch at Victor like full force and see how bad that actually hurts him.
Speaker 1: I I bet she punches pretty hard. She's mean, she's kind of scary. What a wimp. What a wimp. He is, huh? Bring it on. There you go. Bring it off.
Speaker 4: He'll just be like, no, no. I'll get it on video.
Speaker 1: All right. Well, we'll find some more crap to talk about while we listen to some slayer. It's the Victor Wilt Show Friday edition. Got Peaches and Becca in the house hanging out. And I mean, we could still answer listener questions if you want to call us. 208-535-1015.
Speaker 2: Unless it's about, you know, where to pick up your tickets or when to pick up your tickets and also uh flock cameras.
Speaker 1: Flock no flock cameras, no, where are my tickets and no how do I use a roundabout? First of all, lock tickets.
Speaker 4: Or the flock cameras, I mean. Oh boy. Is terrible, and I uh do not like it.
Speaker 1: I I don't like people watching me. Only people looking at me.
Speaker 2: Well sometimes I'll stare through Victor's window. Yeah, Peaches only's only.
Speaker 4: He's al he's always well
Speaker 1: But then at least you know who's peeping. Like, if there's a mysterious camera, who's peeping?
Speaker 4: I'm sorry. If it was Peaches staring outside of our back window, I would just be cracking up. See? Yeah.
Speaker 2: It's just it's just a funny meme.
Speaker 1: Well, I remember on one of my birthdays, uh, Peaches was standing outside the window because I could hear him yapping on the phone.
Speaker 4: Oh from your ring camera.
Speaker 1: Well, I could hear from my room too, I think. But we won't get into all that. Wait, what? This is from a long time ago, Pete. Oh.
Speaker 4: Yeah, this is when we first started hanging out. But anyway. Yeah, those flock cameras. Heck no. I hear that they're putting them in people's backyards without them like their consent or anything.
Speaker 1: See we haven't had an opportunity to talk with Lieutenant Crane or anybody at the city about any of this. So I read all kinds of stuff online, but I don't know what's true and what isn't. Yeah.
Speaker 4: I don't know. I've been hearing about it though, and that's kind of scary. Uh oh, she said I've been hearing about it.
Speaker 1: See, I've been hearing about it. Is not necessarily the best way to go about it. Maybe this information is true.
Speaker 4: Okay, fine. I've been reading about it.
Speaker 1: Is that in Facebook comments? Yeah.
Speaker 2: You guys are gonna drive to the old grocery outlet building and say it's becoming a flock camera distributor.
Speaker 4: Dude, we should, because we go there a lot.
Speaker 1: Well, I saw another video floating around online. Um I think it was from Arizona, where they're these data um center companies are coming in and paying people to install data centers like on the sides of their houses, and people are getting very upset about that. Because they'll end up getting like discounted electricity and things like that, but um I don't know. What if they paid you enough? You would be that guy. I how don't want to pay me.
Speaker 2: I gotta be bought out immediately. Yeah.
Speaker 4: Okay, so actually, someone called me about that the other day, and I told them that that was fine, and they were gonna install it in a couple days.
Speaker 1: Okay, great. Are they paying us good money? I don't know.
Speaker 4: I just said yes.
Speaker 1: You just were like, I love data centers. Yeah, and I want to live in one.
Speaker 4: Well, I thought you would appreciate it.
Speaker 1: Well, if there's a you know, a constant loud humming just coming from the walls, you know, because the house is vibrating.
Speaker 4: Like it, like it doesn't vibrate at all. Okay. We'll be back. That's about it. End of the show.
Speaker 2: We were making fun of the name Candy off the air.
Speaker 4: Yeah. Um, I'm sorry, my niece, Candy, but
Speaker 1: it's one of those names that's kind of like Jade. You know, you just it sounds like you're gonna end up working in a certain type of establishment.
Speaker 2: Who names their son Jade?
Speaker 1: Um Jade's parents.
Speaker 2: Well, someone who hates their looked at this bearded son, because you know, he came out the womb looking like that, beard die and all. And he had the same voice back then, Goo Goo Gaga, you know.
And they saw And they saw this like this, you know, smart Alaki baby come out, and they're like, this is definitely a jade. And even with his like real last name, it's a horrible name.
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. It is.
Speaker 4: Well, yeah, I well, I mean, I'm I just gotta say, Becca Smith is pretty bad too.
Speaker 2: Well, he's also like, he has the same last name as Johnny Knoxville. Uh huh. Jade. Yeah, yeah, his real last name.
Speaker 4: Yeah, what is Johnny Knoxville's Philip Philip Phillip.
Speaker 1: Philip Clapp. Philip Clapp. Yeah. Clap.
Speaker 4: And you know how I feel about a single clap.
Speaker 1: Not a fan.
Speaker 2: Oh, I had a basketball coach that uh got in major trouble with uh doing stuff that is completely gross, but every time we do the single clap, it reminds me of him going like, okay, let's give each other two claps, and that's all he would do. Like when it gets like making it.
Speaker 1: It's better than him pat me on the butt, though. Oh, yeah. Good work, team.
Speaker 4: Oh no, I would do that to people in my I would do that to boys in middle school. I slap them on the butt. And it was hilarious because the coach would just get really mad at me and Jim Quest.
Speaker 2: So my basketball coach when it was after he got in trouble. Uh before he got in trouble, uh, he gave me this pair of shoes. And I still have them. And sometimes I wear them on stage for like stage announcements.
Uh-huh. And I don't want to say the name of what I call them on the on the air, but call them like all those shoes. But they're I've never seen anywhere else. I've never seen these shoes anywhere else. They're they're a weird material. They're faded now. All right. They've been sitting in my closet now for the longest time. I might need to wear them to the Theory of a Dead Man show.
Speaker 4: I I just gotta say they're probably your favorite possession. And you sh you like shrine them. Yeah, and you miss them.
Speaker 2: Like, I start rubbing them going, I miss you stuck.
Speaker 1: I'm amazed that you haven't sold them.
Speaker 2: Uh I I I do have a bookshelf I have for sale that you might if you if you want to look at it. I do.
Speaker 1: I'm gonna just give it to you. Uh I'll check it out. Yeah, yeah. You know, I'm always in the need for more bookshelves.
Speaker 2: Well, it's not really a bookshelf, it's just shelving. Okay. I don't know if it's but it's black, and I know that's your favorite shade.
Speaker 1: It might work. I'll I'll check it out. So yeah, maybe I'll get a hold of you this weekend if uh I'm not too sleepy after Salt Lake City. And then there's you're just dead quiet. I I know, I tend to when I can get away with it. Hide. Just hide.
Speaker 4: And also, if you guys want to tell Victor something, just call and tell him try not to.
Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. I'm gonna actually not take any more calls and I'm gonna try not to. Alright. Y'all try not to as well? We'll tell you off air pictures. All right.
Speaker 2: These inside jokes are great for listeners, by the way. I'm sure they love this.
Speaker 1: Some listeners know what try not to is. We'll tell you off air. Okay, whatever. We're gonna leave with some poppies. Thank you again for tuning in to the Victor Wilts Show.
