#0385 - Brain Parasites and Hoochie Daddy Summer - 07/02/2026

Speaker 1: Well what's up everybody welcome to the show. Hi, it's me here doing it live. It's Victor Wilt. Good morning and good day. Hopefully a much better day than the last few.

I mean, I hope you had great days. I not so much. Uh do you like puking? Yeah, you know.

A good old bow to vomit. How about having that to deal with all day while you're at work? That was my day yesterday. Until basically I got up this morning. Because I still felt like I was gonna puke when I went to bed. Shout out to my amazing wife for letting me go to bed. I did my best to tough it through and pretend I was all good all night.

I don't think I did that great of a job, but still managed to get some errands done. I I I thought I was gonna lose it though when when Becca's brother came by to say hello. I was just sitting there just gutting it, like, please don't throw up that ibuprofen. Oh But seemingly so far a little bit better. I still got a little bit of this weird headache I had yesterday. Maybe it's too early to fill it. I'm gonna puke, but I'm optimistic about the day today. Because I gotta be in good shape for Saturday for the apparently toasty.

Idaho Falls Community Hospital Riverfest presented by ICCU and River Bend Media Group, looking at a high of about 89. Yeah, uh make sure to bring the sun block, tons of water, a hat. Don't bring your dog, don't bring your motorized scooter.

Just bring, you know, everything you need to have fun aside from the restricted items, and then it's all culminating with the biggest fireworks show west of the Mississippi, the Melaleuca Freedom celebration. Final one! Final chance to get out and see that at Snake River Landing. So hope you're gonna be there. We'll be there like all day.

Hopefully feeling fantastic. I don't know, I'm gonna give a breakfast burrito a shot, and Mm-hmm. that's test number one on the old guts. Ha-ha-ha.

We'll see how it goes. I didn't eat yesterday. Well, I did have part of a sandwich.

Might have come back up. Ha-ha-ha. I won't get descriptive, but all right. Stay positive, everybody. Have a good uh is it is it only Wednesday? It is.

So like the longest week of all time. It's all right. We're gonna have some fun today. I swear Promise. Oh, and today we're looking at a high of about 79 in case you were wondering.

So if you have any yard work to do, I might want to do it to today. It's looking hot moving forward. At least we're not in the middle of that heat dome, right? Uh we got some places in the east really dealing with some bad temps, and it's all humid there.

Oh, can you imagine being in like New York City at 110? Yeah, forget it. Depending on who you are, this could be either good, could be bad, you might not care at all. But Sony has announced that starting in 2028, they will no longer produce physical discs for any new game being released on a play s uh PlayStation console. First time this really came up was recently with the announce of Grand Theft Auto 6 being digital only, which I find to be disappointing. Alright.

When I buy a video game, I'd like to be able to loan it to a friend, or I'd like to, if I hate it, be able to sell it. Yeah. Recoup a little bit of cost. Not happening anymore, I guess. No more selling video games, no more loaning to friends, and I guess you better hope that all the games you want to try out, they've got a free trial available. Yeah, they said in response to shifting trends in consumer preference. Is that true?

Are there people out there that prefer I I guess minimalists? Peaches, you know, selling all his possessions. I don't want these games laying around. But I don't know, I I like having the games on the shelf.

It's just me. Takes a lot less time when you want to play them. You don't have to wait for the entire game to download since the PlayStation has a you know kind of small hard drive for what the item is.

What can you put five games on it at once? I love my PlayStation 5, don't get me wrong, but I would imagine there's gonna be a little bit of backlash to this. I don't think they're gonna change their minds, however, because it just saves them money. Yeah, there's no cost other than the online distribution, you know, which nothing. Why, you know, mass manufacture all these discs. I'm sure they cost a couple bucks a piece.

That all adds up when you're selling millions of copies. Alright, well, sorry if that was bad news. Hopefully, it was news that you just don't care. I was just annoyed by it.

It's like that's dumb. So, as I mentioned as we kicked off the show, I spent yesterday just pretty much trying to not vomit. Didn't succeed at certain times, but other times I held it back.

Great success. Maybe I got a parasite. You know, I talk about how parasites horrify me from time to time. If you've never watched the show that was on, I think it was an animal planet.

Monsters inside me. You can find clips of that on YouTube. I don't know if I recommend it, unless you want to see real horror. Alright. You want to talk about something that's gonna actually scare you? What Freddy Krueger? Mm-mm.

Michael Myers, no. Now let's talk about botflies, things like that. Apparently, there's a new parasite making the rounds that has uh, let's see, left 145 people sick across 17 states. And what are the symptoms? This is called cyclospora, and generally people are getting it after eating food and not reporting any travel during the 14 days before they got sick.

Generally associated with developing countries, takes about a week for symptoms to appear, and some of the symptoms loss of appetite, nausea, diarrhea, fatigue, and a low grade fever. Alright. Um maybe I got cyclospora. I don't know.

Thankfully, uh seem to be feeling pretty decent this morning. Idaho does not appear on the map of cases. Looks like pretty much the eastern U.S. Yeah, The Eastern US, no place to be right now. Extreme heat wave.

Uh dealing with that humidity. Cyclospora outbreak. I don't know if it's an outbreak. I mean, it's a hundred some odd people, but anybody die from it?

Because there was a recent parasite that uh gave you diarrhea and it could kill you. Yeah Well, looks like the closest state to us. I mean, it's pretty far away, Colorado. We're alright for now. Ugh. Horrible diarrhea coming your way. Hopefully not. Hopefully not.

Hopefully, just a wonderful uh toasty Fourth of July weekend. right, Alright, this might be a wake-up calling for you, but don't pee in the pool. Come on. Somebody asked online, is peeing in the compo in the pool considered normal. No. It's not, no matter what anybody tells you.

It is not normal. Alright. Try to keep the pool clean. Somebody in the comments, well, if the chemicals are alright, it's it's gonna be just fine. Nobody wants to be swimming around in your pee.

Alright? It's gross. I don't care if the chlorine kills bacteria or whatever.

It's still nasty. You're all swimming along. All of a sudden there's a warm spot. Like, ugh, why is it all warm here in your friend? Oh, I had to go.

Then get out of the pool, dude. People will hear one thing one time and just accept that it's fine. Like this whole, it's fine if the chemicals are set up properly. I don't know if that's true. Let's Google it. Cool chemicals safe to pee.

The things I Google for this program. Alright, we'll go to hack and sack Meridian Health. Let's see. Is peeing in the pool safe? And of course they have a picture of a child in the pool, because you know they're the biggest offenders.

Let's see here. This article says urine in swimming pools is more of a gross factor than a health hazard. You won't risk your health if you're in a pool where somebody has peed.

But there's a gross factor. Alright. Now there was another article.

Science.org. Why you shouldn't pee in the pool? I they say it's dangerous. Scientists have found when urine and chlorine combine, they create potentially hazardous byproducts, including cyanogen chloride and trichloramine. The former is a toxic compound that can affect the lungs. That don't sound good. Heart and central nervous system.

And the latter has been associated with acute lung injury. Yeah, anybody who has like a hot tub, you know. Gotta put the uh chlorine in and then leave it open, or you'll destroy the lid because it creates a gas. But yeah, just because you read online, man, it'd find a pee on the pool.

Do a little bit more research. It's kind of like when people are like, a dog's mouth is cleaner than a person's mouth. No.

That is not true. I mean, I don't know if they're horrifically worse, but they're definitely not cleaner. Alright, go go look at what your dog's eating out in the yard, okay?

All Alright. Yeah, don't pee in the pool. It's summertime. I know it's hot out.

Keep that water cool. Alright, you're going out to play a little bit of cards with your homies. Whether that be, I don't know, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!

I don't know a lot about these card games. But I do know one thing. I have heard often that players are kind of known for one thing at these tournaments, and that's being smelly.

Yeah. Take a shower before you go out and play cards. There was a store in Oregon that had to suspend their Yu-Gi-Oh! tournaments for over a week. Uh Due to uh multiple complaints and bad reviews relating to smelly players.

This was Kronos Game and Gifts in Beaverton, Oregon. And they're like, all right, we regret to inform you that there will be a one-week suspension on our local events. We've had people mistreating the bathrooms and multiple bad reviews because of poor hygiene. As a reminder, we encourage players to follow Konami guidelines and report anyone who does not. Does video game company Konami have rules about stinkiness?

Apparently. Yeah, it's just polite. Alright, if you're gonna be out in public, like if you're going to a show, going to the bar, I don't know, going to Walmart. I've smelled some bad smells in Walmart before.

And it was people. Um, yeah. Shower up before you go outside, okay?

Even if you're adjusted to your own stink, other people might not be. What else do we have here? Oh, this actress named Ruby Rose has been hospitalized after a freak swimming pool accident. She was apparently spraying part of her garden with a hose, and then she just tripped and broke a bunch of ribs. Um I'm guessing she fell in the pool. Falling down happens.

You know. She says, one second I'm here talking to you. Next I'm in the hospital with two broken ribs. Um, I was just walking into my house, eat it in the driveway. I didn't go to the hospital.

I ended up going to urgent care, but yeah, that's been my nightmare this week. Alright, what else do we have? She's okay though. She's alright. Just another article that reminded me of uh what I've been going through. Oh, and let's see.

I didn't read this one because I wanted to find out along with you. Says man's suspected brain cancer turns out to be something much creepier. It's gotta be a parasite in his head, right? They had to do multiple brain scans to find the true culprit behind the man's worsening headaches. Had a nice headache last night.

Seemed to be making me want to vomit. Oh, he had worms in his head. What if I have worms in my head?

What if that's what's going on? Well, I feel like vomiting. Ah, worms. Did I eat any undercooked pig or something like that? I'm pretty careful when it comes to food. But you could end up with worms in your brain. We talked about you know death by diarrhea earlier.

What's worse? Oh. But yeah, he's fine now. I mean, see, they said it was uh creepier. Yeah, having worms in your head is creepy, but they just treated it and now he's fine. So that I would think having worms in your head is better news than brain cancer. For sure.

Right? Am I crazy? Oh, that's just how my brain works. Anyway, glad that guy's okay. And glad that so far, uh, my own headache seems to be doing uh decent. Seems to be doing decent.

The old wrist not hurting too bad either. Alright. Well, what say we party into the eight o'clock hour, people?

Let's do it. Happy Wednesday. We are halfway through the week. Halfway to the 4th of July. And all of the festivities going down this 4th of July.

You're joining us, right? For the Idaho Falls Community Hospital Riverfest, presented by ICCU and River Bend Media Group. Culminating with the biggest fireworks show west of the Mississippi, the Melaleuka Freedom Celebration. It's all going down at Snake River Landing this Saturday in celebration of America's 250th birthday. You gotta go over to FreedomCelebration.com and at least check out the event map and parking.

Okay. A lot of different parking areas. And my little hint to you is you know, try to park close to an exit rather than try to park as close into the actual Riverfest area as possible. So you can get out of there a little bit quicker. They have gotten great with traffic flow getting people out of the event.

It's not like things used to be. But make sure you're familiar with you know the parking areas. Um you can also take a look at where Riverfest is taking place, the fireworks viewing area, and so forth.

Again over at FreedomCelebration.com. Uh don't forget to better serve attendees. Available space at Snake River Landing will be used to expand general parking and improve event access. Overnight RV parking not offered for the 2026 celebration. If you're planning to attend with an RV, you're encouraged to make alternative arrangements in advance.

But you can even download these parking maps so you can have them on your phone in high quality. Go check it out. That's again FreedomCelebration.com. So I thought it was Vegas that we'd read about building an Atari themed hotel. Maybe it was in another country, but apparently they've got one popping up in the Phoenix area. Maybe that's it. Maybe it's just in Phoenix. I Googled Atari themed hotel, and it says the world's first licensed Atari Hotel currently in development in downtown Phoenix. So apparently it's just my crappy memory.

Anyway, as a video game fan, that sounds cool to me. But I guess people in the community are very upset because they're gonna have to replace part of a building that has been part of downtown Phoenix for more than 70 years. It's the former radio station building at Central Avenue and Roosevelt Street, once home to some of the valley's most recognizable stations. Okay, well, they're not there anymore. Alright, did they move to another location?

Did they go out of business? Like, say for example, our old building in Blackfoot. Alright. If that needed to be torn down, some of the most popular radio stations in the region used to be there. Oh no, can't tear it down. This is for an Atari hotel. Now, okay, Atari In the in the world of gaming. Yes, it's legendary as a company, but if you go back and play those old Atari games, sorry, they're just they're just not good.

Alright. If you want to play Pac-Man, you gotta play it on an arcade. It's just not the same. But even though Atari's like old, no kids have heard of it or anything like that. I bet an Atari Hotel would be pretty sweet, right? Yeah, an 11 story gaming hospitality and entertainment hotel inspired by Atari.

Tear down the radio station building. Who cares? Alright, let's go to Atari Hotels.com. Does that mean there's more than one? Huh? Okay, it looks like if you'd like to invest in an Atari hotels, that's what that website is for.

Um. uh Hey, you never know what's gonna pay off, but I don't know if I'd invest. That's up to you. That is up to you. But I'd go stay there. Next time I visit Phoenix, I'd check it out.

I've said it before, but I'll say it again. Just please be careful if you visit Florida. Alright, if you want to visit Florida, just wait till November. Visit uh Leonida. Play Grand Theft Auto 6.

The real Florida just too scary. Yeah, a guy who's out swimming in the boy, this is a long name for a river. A con Ecken Lock Hatchy. I don't know, it's a long word. He was in the river. Alright. Swimming with his lady. No place to swim in Florida. I'm sure you can guess what happened, Peaches, when swimming in a river in Florida.

Speaker 2: He got some algae right there. Algae? Yeah.

Speaker 1: No, that's a problem in Washington.

Speaker 2: Oh, I'm sorry. He got an alligator bite right there.

Speaker 1: Uh, well, not him, his girlfriend. Ooh. And um, she's no longer with us now. He he tried to uh prior from the gator's jaws, then a second one showed up. And uh two gators versus two people gators win.

Speaker 2: At that point, what did you do in a previous life to deserve such a punishment? To watch your girlfriend just all of a sudden die via alligator right in front of you, and then you have to go to her parents' house and go, yeah, I couldn't rescue her, she's dead.

Speaker 1: Yeah, he must have been a real real piece of crap in a previous life. That's a rough one, man. Uh but I kept the room. Have you ever seen videos of someone getting attacked by a gator? It's pretty crazy. Why would I want to watch something like that? I don't you you had that uh Instagram feed for a while that was just showing you horrific videos. I would assume gator attack was in the mix at some point.

Speaker 2: I'm getting a whole bunch of videos of people just doing these crazy shenanigans over in India.

Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. You showed me the one of the guy doing the moonwalk.

Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, boonlock, moonwalk, Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson, Michael Jackson. I love that video. Yeah. No, there was one recently of two guys that were having like some sort of sleepover, and then their friends put this uh giant bucket in the room with a firework inside, and the whole thing just exploded.

Speaker 1: Don't like fireworks inside, everybody. We got the 4th of July coming up. Fireworks indoors. Bad idea. Not good. Might make for an impressive uh reel.

Speaker 2: I did see another one where this one guy was dumping shilly over the bathroom stall onto somebody. Alright. So if I see another East Idaho news person use her bathroom and don't lock the door, it gave me an idea.

Speaker 1: Yeah, because you know, we've got a certain way things work over here. One person in the bathroom at a time, lock the door. Did they get their bathroom fixed?

Speaker 2: I I think so, finally, because I haven't seen oh, I didn't see them show up over here yesterday, knocking on wood. Alright. Watch me say that, and all of a sudden there's like four people.

Speaker 1: Well, it's time to wander on down there and make a stink, Peaches. I'm going to. We gotta return the favor for the last few weeks.

Speaker 2: I got tons of protein in my lunch pail today, I'm ready to go.

Speaker 1: Peaches just been mowing down sardines. Somebody at the gas station asked me if I wanted sardines with my stuff. I was like, get out of it. No, I know. Who just randomly asks that? People who listen to the show. Everyone listens, man.

Speaker 2: Oh, that was a listener. Yeah, oh yeah. Oh, okay. I thought it was just some

Speaker 1: No, it was somebody who'd heard the sardine discussion.

Speaker 2: Oh, good. Thank you. Thank you, listener.

Speaker 1: He's Just reading a post online where this woman was asking if she should continue to make her art, even though her boyfriend hates her art. Uh, the answer is yes. If you If you have a hobby that is not harmful to anyone, and somebody else doesn't like it, they can kick rocks. Alright?

They can get. So, she's a 25-year-old woman, has been making art for a few years now, lives with her boyfriend, and she says she's keeping it vague, but she makes art following around an original character and her boyfriend has very extreme feelings on this character, who she also writes about. He wishes harm on this character, enjoys when they get hurt, often gets mad when I make depictions of this character in their relationship being happy, and it's gotten to a point where it's extreme and kind of strange. She says, I'm not kidding when I say that he wishes harm on this original character as if it were a real person, and is very gleeful about the idea of this character getting hurt, harmed, or abused. I have a Nietzsche online following for it.

The reception's positive. My boyfriend says everyone who follows me must be freaks. It's for stupid, edgy people, and he hates it.

And it fills him with visceral hatred. Uh, she might be able to make some money off of her art. Okay.

It's a good healthy hobby. Dump them. Dump them. Alright.

If you're 25 and these are already the problems you're dealing with, uh your your hobbies that you're really into and could potentially, you know, do something for you. You got somebody trying to drag you down. Don't let 'em. Alright. You're

only on this planet one time. Go find a fellow artist. You can sit around and art it up all day. Alright. That's that's right. Art

partner. It's what you need, lady. So some of these questions you you don't think people would need to ask them online, but maybe the uh reassur reassurance from fellow human beings online telling you, dump them. Maybe that's all you need. What do we got for uh comments here? What

are people saying? I don't think it's your art your boyfriend hates, but you're all right. Maybe don't don't make that assumption. Maybe he just doesn't like the art, you know. He hates your guts. Seems

a bit extreme, but just jump right to that. Now, people are pointing out he's a jerk because he's constantly insulting your work and blah blah blah, belittling something that's important to you. You know, he doesn't need to like it, but he should be supportive. Totally agree. Alright.

Like if Becca got into crocheting, all right. I have no interest in sitting down with a spool of yarn and making a towel, but if she wants to, go right ahead. More power to ya. It's a Healthy hobby. Yeah, if somebody ain't letting you live your life and you again, not hurting anybody. Give them the old boot. Ugh. Putting

on headphones when your wrist is all screwed up. Kind of sucks. Ah, there we go. Jay's.

Anyway, what's up, everybody? How's it going? Happy.

I can't believe it's only Wednesday. Longest week of all time. I guess when you spend at least one of those days, you know, the entire day feeling like you're gonna just puke, and actually engaging in puking. Um it makes for a long day. Hopefully today, not like that. Ugh. Alright,

be a good day to sit back in bed and watch a movie, yeah. Saw a new one pop up on, I think it was HBO Undertone, which it seems like I might have heard something about. I know it's a horror movie. Kind of ratings we got going on here. Uh I mean, not terrible on Rotten Tomatoes, 74%. % Oh, it's it's eight. And hey, it's new. So I'm gonna have to check it out.

Gonna have to give it a watch. Just been watching a lot of true crime stuff lately. Like world's worst ex, world's worst roommate. And then today they've got world's worst neighbor.

Debuting on Netflix. And when they get into you know the world's worst, these people are pretty bad. Usually they've got bodies under the floorboards or they're chopping people up. Uh all right. What about uh oh, it's called Worst Neighbor Ever. Not World's Worst Neighbor.

Alright, worst neighbor ever. It's debuting on Netflix today with four episodes. And uh, I'm not even gonna watch the trailer because I want to be disgustingly surprised. Those shows are there's something else, for sure. But I might have to watch Undertone too, and then there's another horror comedy that keeps popping up.

Can't remember the name of it, but I've really been wanting to watch that one as well. Tried to watch some TV, but when you're watching TV and you feel like you're gonna puke, it's not very good. So you just lay there and just hate it. Well, hopefully today, not one of those days. So far, it seems alright, but I think it was about noon yesterday when the you know vomits started kicking in. Alright, I'll I'll stop talking about puke. Not that face. Yep.

Speaker 2: Ew. So uh y'all ready for the fourth of July? Um, I I'm more work, Stanley. Come on.

Speaker 1: I'm more ready than I was yesterday. I know puking's a big part of the Fourth of July, but you're supposed to wait till like the 5th. Yeah, do it all week. That's right. I'm just getting I'm getting a party started early with no party. No party, just the aftermath.

Speaker 2: Our uh graphic designer star is getting the party started early too. So you gotta look through the email she just sent and tell me which t-shirt design you think you want.

Speaker 1: Okay. Patriotic t-shirt designs for America 250. All right, several of you reached out regarding patriotic t-shirts, and I have a few fun designs available you might enjoy. So you just need to bring her a garment of your choice no later than tomorrow afternoon. All right, so we've got the red, white, and blue, 250.

Proud to be an American, pretty uh basic patriotic shirt. Okay. All right. Then we got 250 years of USA freedom. 1776 to 2026. Another white t-shirt, very patriotic. All right, we've got one with uh an eagle and the Statue of Liberty, 250th anniversary, the cracked Liberty Bell. got We got one that looks like a ripped up jeans patch USA. 1776.

Got the one with flowers all over it. All American, bro. Eagle with a muscles.

He's a buff and he has a backward hat on. I might I might have to go for that one. There's more. There's more.

Okay, we got the Jets, 250 years. All right. Oh, the three Bigfoot. Three Sasquatch. I like I like that one too.

All right. Proud to be in an um what it uh dawn come up with this one. American With the Eagle. Is Justin wearing that one? Maybe.

Of course Of course. Celebrate 250 Years of America. Hoochie Daddy Silver. Okay, go on Cape Golem. on. Okay. All right, they're getting. Oh wow. Okay. That's the best one yet.

But you want to go. We got celebrate 250 Years of America, a giant screaming eagle. And in standing in front of it, shirtless Jade Davis with cowboy hat and tight jeans. No, tight jeans shorts.

Speaker 2: It's a Daisy Duke shorts.

Speaker 1: Daisy Duke shorts with Hoochie Daddy Summer. All right, Alright, I gotta find uh black t-shirt. Just the hoochie daddy summer shirt.

Speaker 2: I'm thinking I'm gonna have to get that one. Wear myself around.

Speaker 1: Oh, that's some funny stuff, ma'am. Alright. Well, thank you to Star for her hard work getting us these awesome t-shirt designs. I should have known it would be Hoochie Daddy Summer. Everyone in the office has been getting a real kick. GM stopped by yesterday to talk about your Hooters outfit.

He thought that was pretty funny. All Alright, well, I'll continue getting ready for the 4th of July, Jade. And don't forget to check out uh freedomcelebration.com if you want details on the big event at the end of the night, the Melaleuca Freedom Celebration.

If you want to see me and Jade celebrating Hoochie Daddy Summer, come out to the Idaho Falls Community Hospital Riverfest, presented by ICCU and River Bend Media Group. We'll be uh sporting those shirts.

Speaker 2: You better be wearing some Daisy Dukes as well.

Speaker 1: Well, with this fat as I've gotten, I just gotta dig for some old shorts. Probably seemed like Daisy Dukes. My request, some Led Zeppelin. Who requested that? I didn't ask their name, but they wanted to hear when the levee breaks, and sometimes you bust out seven minutes of Led Zeppelin. Well yuck. Yuck. Preachers don't like older stuff. He's Gen Z.

Speaker 2: Like older stuff, but it's just Led Zeppelin, yeah.

Speaker 1: I'm not huge on Led Zeppelin.

Speaker 2: They're fine. Okay, somebody must have tried to convince try to convince you they're better than what they are. Before you were agreeing with me on this whole thing.

Speaker 1: I mean, I agree that they're overrated. Okay, thank you. For sure. Yeah. No, you want to give me some classic rock. Pink Floyd, the Beatles in the Doors, all day. Anybody else who even comes close, Peaches? From back then.

Speaker 2: Uh I mean, classic rock wise. I mean.

Speaker 1: Classic rockslash oldies at this point. Eagles. The Eagles. Oh, you can't lump them in with the Beatles. No way. Not even close. They're too advanced for the Beatles. Too advanced. We all live in Yellow Submarine. Peaches, that's a very complex and deep song.

Speaker 3: Here comes the sun. Do da to do. That's a good song. Twist and shout.

Speaker 1: That was a cover, I think. They're not to be blamed for that one.

Speaker 3: I need somebody. They were the first emo band. They were.

Speaker 1: I I can't imagine living back then when like the Beatles were the equivalent of like Marilyn Manson in the 90s. Like parents burning their records in the streets.

Speaker 2: You've seen those Instagram reels, right? How the Beatles sounded to your grandma. And they have audio of like cattle decapitations.

Speaker 1: Exactly. So funny. Let's see what this person wants.

Speaker 2: I'm sure it's that person going calling back saying, hey, don't talk trash of my Led Zeppelin.

Speaker 1: Probably. K Bear, you're live on the show. Keep that in mind. Who's this?

Speaker 4: Hey, Victor, this is Jason. Jason, what's up, dude? Oh, first of all, I gotta say Eagles Peaches. Really?

Speaker 1: Oh, you said Eagles Peaches, really. All right. Better than Led Zeppelin for sure.

Speaker 4: So No, I I don't think Led Zeppelin's overrated. I think they're amazing, man. Yeah, they're really. I can't believe I can't believe you didn't mention Black Sabbath.

Speaker 1: Oh, okay. Yeah, and they they came around the same time as Sabbath. And I mean is Led Zeppelin and Sabbath is like a million light years ahead of Led Zeppelin. Exactly. Yeah. I mean, that's yeah, that's Sabbath. Listen to those riffs. Yeah.

I was thinking about that early earlier today. Like riffs are not a thing like they used to be. You know, you you might hear a breakdown and go, oh, that's a cool breakdown, but it's just dun dun dun.

Speaker 2: Riffs and guitar solos. They're non-existent.

Speaker 1: Yeah. Like you don't ever hear a song go like, man, that riff's stuck in my head.

Speaker 2: Well, the the latest one I've heard about heard that uh was from uh another guitar player, Michael, who who said uh Avatars Crying Fire. Loves the riff of that song.

Speaker 1: Yeah, you you just uh don't tend to notice many standout riffs. Bands are just kind of playing backup notes for the singer. Yeah, you know, sure. It's very very, very strictly rhythm with no personality. Anyway, it's true. Yeah, man. Appreciate the call today, dude. Hope you have a good one.

Speaker 4: Yeah, uh number one classic rock, man. Obviously, guns and roses.

Speaker 1: I guess at this point they're classic rock. Who? G and R. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Sorry, I'm a head card. I was thinking I was thinking more back in yeah, like the 60s, 70s.

Speaker 2: So that's what I was thinking too. More so like the like C C R and all of that. Yeah.

Speaker 1: But it's hard to say. I mean, at this point, Limbiscuit's classic rock. So blink 182. Yeah. Lincoln Park. I mean, those bands put out albums 30 years ago. It's a long time.

Yeah, they're pretty old. Well, hey, dude, you have yourself a great uh rest of the week and a good fourth. Corn as well. Classic. Hey, thanks, man. Peace. One more person here. K bear, you're live on the show. Keep that in mind. Who's this?

Speaker 2: I was the one that requested that. Peaches, you big ogre.

Speaker 4: You and Fiona need to go back to the swamp.

Speaker 1: So Big Ogre, what? And go back to the swamp.

Speaker 4: No, I'm the one I'm the one I would question that song when he said yup. And I was like, what? You and Fiona need to go back to the swamp.

Speaker 1: Oh, you and Fiona need to go back to the swamp. Okay, I didn't catch the middle line. Gotcha.

Speaker 4: you My first request was actually snowblind by Black Sabbath, but I was like, oh, I want to hear Levy too.

Speaker 1: She almost went for Sabbath, but decided on Zeppelin. So I would have I would have played Snowblind. It's a good song. So yeah, I love Snowblind. Yeah, it's really good. Well, hey, you have yourself a uh great day. You too.

Speaker 4: And Peaches, shut up.

Speaker 1: Peaches, shut up. All right, thanks. All right. You know what? I think do we have it in the system? A cover of Snowblind by System of a Down. I think we added it, yeah. Because that might be fun to play to end the show. Rather than going Led Zeppelin right into Sabbath.

We'll do uh Led Zeppelin in the system, covering Sabbath. We're gonna leave. And then Peaches and I will be back at noon for the noon hour of madness and mayhem as always. Thanks all.
